FH and I cancelled our original wedding hall and plans. We decided we wanted to go to Las Vegas just the two of us for our ceremony. We're getting married on his parents anniversary in September (we thought it would be a nice way to honor them since they've both passed) We got a suite for a week at Treasure Island and one of their awesome wedding packages in their chapel. Included is photography and a ceremony DVD with Cashman Photos (one of Las Vegas' best I've heard) Needless to say I'm excited. We want to have a dinner reception here in NY to celebrate with close family and friends (about 50-75 people) Not a traditional wedding reception. We just want some dancing, a nice dinner and a nice cake....nothing too fancy. Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant with a party room that allows a DJ, or something a little different and a unique way to celebrate?? We're looking to have the dinner in November of this year.
Also, has anyone gotten married at Atlantis Marine World? If so, is there a minimum of guests required and what's their general price range per head?
Thanks so much ladies!

Re: Dinner Reception Location?
I got married at Atlantis in Sept 04. Back then I need to have 125 to keep the price they gave per head.

Re: Dinner Reception Location?
I don't know anything about Atlantis, but I just wanted to say I think what you're doing sounds incredibly romantic! There's a part of me that's always wanted to do something like that for our wedding. Best Wishes!

Re: Dinner Reception Location?
There's a simple...but nice German Catering Hall in Franklin Square. They're called Plattduetsche Park Restaurant. Their food is AMAZING and the prices are GREAT. They have all different sizes of rooms available. Talk to Matt Buck if you go. I worked there for MANY yearsssss and I've known Matt since I was like 5 or 6. Tell him Cindy Atkins sent you! Good Luck!
Three Village Inn has seperate party rooms and the food is yummy too!!

Try the Metropolitan Club (not the Metropolitan, but the smaller venue operated by the same owners) in Glen Cove.

I think that millridge cottage has smaller rooms- not sure though- may be worth giving them a call though!

Re: Dinner Reception Location?
my brother got married at sunset harbor in patchogue. he had less than 100 guests as well. i *think* it may be have a restaurant part of it, but we only saw the private wedding area. i think they paid around $80pp w/tax and grat.

Re: Dinner Reception Location?
I had my reception at Atlantis this past Nov 06. For a Sat wedding, with a min of 100 people we paid $119 pp+ tax and grat for a sit down dinner. To save $ you could have it on a Fri and/or do a buffet. Good luck!
