Directions to the church

My invitations were sent out about two months ago. My wedding is in 19 days. Well, bright me, just realized that I never put directions to the church in the invitation! Are you suppose to have directions to the church? I put the directions to the hall. So what do I do now? Please help!

Directions to the church

Oh my god! I did the same thing and just realized it yesterday! After we get our responses, we are going to send letters out to everyone with the directions along with other things to do in the area. This way it won't look like as big a mistake!

Shoot. So now I have to use double postage! Arrghh. Anyone have any other suggestions to save myself some stamps?

How about this..

let people figure it out! Seriously, in between getting the invite and the day of the wedding, 99% of the time, I can't find that info and have to figure it out anyway. People will either call or look it up on mapquest.

You can also ask for help from a few people who can spread the word around. But, I think as long as the invites tell everyone where the ceremony is, people will be able to get their hands on directions without you having to send directions to everyone who is coming.

I wouldn't want to spend the extra $$$ on more postage either.

Good luck.

Thanks Becky. I think I am going to call one member of each 'family' and give them directions and they can pass it on to their sisters, brothers, etc. I am picking up the directions tonight. I swear I feel so dumb. That is becuase I don't have a nice little 'Party Coordinator' like I do at my hall that makes sure I have my direction cards! he he! Oh brother!!!!!!

Hi!

I was thinking that you could post them online, if you have a wedding webpage or simply just e-mail them out... that way you're saving $$$.
Hope this is helpful =)

I think you have a good idea about calling a few people. Let them spread the word around.

Don't stress over this

My friend did the same thing. (I am not sure she ever realized she did it either.) Her sister told us all about the mistake at the shower and then emailed us the directions a few days later. No problems!

So, if you didn't have your shower yet you can have someone hand them out then or you call call or email or let them find their way. All are acceptable ways to correct a not so big and honest mistake!

Just don't stress! Good Luck :)!

pay for the postage

what is $34 in the realm of wedding expense...churches are usually not well known places unless you are from that TOWN...I think you should send a note like July3bride...

I ALWAYS use the directions sent...

No need to worry

I have never received an invite with direction to the church, we have always only received the directions to the hall. People will figure it out. Try not to stress yourself over it.
