Directions to venue...

if any of you are familiar with nassau county, can you tell me if these directions to the riviera make sense?

Eastern Long Island: Southern State Parkway to Exit 32 South/Rt-110. Travel south on Rt-110. Continue on Rt-110 to the end. At the end, make a right onto Merrick Road/Rt-27A. Continue on Merrick Road past the Nautilus Diner, which is on the right. At the traffic light next to the diner, make a left onto East Shore Drive. Travel on East Shore Drive approximately 1 mile. The Riviera is located on the left.

Western Long Island: Southern State Parkway to Exit 28A S/Seaford. Get off at exit and travel south on Rt-135 to the last exit which is Merrick Road East. Travel on Merrick Road East approximately 3.5 miles to the Massapequa Firehouse. Make a right turn at the traffic light next to the Firehouse. Travel on East Shore Drive approximately 1 mile.

*** these directions were given to me from the venue, but when i map-quested it, i was given different routes.

I'm not familiar with the Riviera ... but they should supply you with direction cards, no?

i just rec'd the direction cards, but i had map-quested the directions before i got them and the routes differ a bit.

Ohhhh ... Sorry, I misunderstood that ...

I dont know if it makes a difference, but the nautilus diner is shut down.. and theres fences around it. The sign is still there but its completely shut down. The firehouse accross the street may be a better landmark


I live in Massapequa.. those are good directions..

wow, thanks so much for the info! i rarely get out there, so i would never have known about the diner being shut down. coming from the east, the firehouse would be on the left, right?

is this better:
