I booked with Chateau Briand, recently went to their tasting and was drastically disappointed. I'm worried. I did not like the food. It was bland, poorly presented and cold. I know my guests' taste in food and I am 100% that it doesn't match with what the CB is offering. Can anyone please give me any ideas. My wedding is next year. thanks.

When you booked did you book contigent on the food tasting? I would tell them my concerns. Maybe they were having a bad day. I have heard really good things about CB. Ask for another tasting

could it have been a fluke? i know a lot of people rave about the food there (i've never had it so i can't say) ....
regardless, you should def speak with your banquet manager about this. maybe they could offer a 2nd tasting with different foods (possibly upgraded / more expensive foods, if necessary)

Yes I agree w talking to bm. And tell them if ur dissapointed a second time, u will break contract and book elsewhere.

wow, I'm very surprise to hear that. I went for a food tasting before we signed the contract and the food was amazing. i also sugggest u talking to ur BM asap and schedule another food tasting, they usually have their most popular dishes so go for them.

i went to a wedding there (granted it was years ago) and remember the food being pretty good...
i would share your concerns with your BM, try to go for another tasting, and then if you are really unhappy try to get out of the contract

awww I'm sorry to hear that you are unhappy. FH and I also went their food tasting and something we really liked where others we weren't as crazy about but we didn't leave thinking anything was absolutely terrible. Like other girls have mentioned, call your BM and voice your concerns. They could have been having an off day and you could go to a different tasting.

I was at my friends wedding in February and the food was not bad at all!!!
Granted, it's not gourmet but is any catering hall?

Yeah I would say definitely speak with your BM manager and ask for a second tasting. My friend did a tasting (at a different venue) and hated the food. She called and complain and as it turned out, the original house chef was off that day. SO they went back for a second tasting with the original house chef and the food was better. I wentto their wedding and the food was amazing.

Id call and complain. The scottos usually make things right.

Was there in January for wedding and food was good- the cocktail hour was crazy so much food and so many different choices, this is weird- def tell them your issues

Thank you everyone for your advise. Spoke with BM-Susan, she is wonderful!!!!!!! Will have a 2nd tasting and we will discussion different menu options. Feel so much better. Thanks!
