Disappointed with David's Bridal( a little long)

So I went like 2 or 3 weeks ago to DB and got my wedding dress. I had a great time, the woman that helped me was great!!!!! The only thing I went first thing in the morning on a friday....
Yesterday I went with my MOH and after work around 5:30.
There wasn't a lot of people so I thought this would be great. Well the woman that was helping us was ok, and we tried on some styles(but not all that I wanted too). She did help us but she seem liked to was trying to sell us way too much....
Plus like 30 minutes into it she said that once we're done she gets to go home....So I felt a little rushed
Why give us someone that is leaving soon???....Why not someone that is there until closing?????
I was told on the weekend it's crazy, so thats why we went after work.
So I don't know if next time I make an appointment ask if they could give me someone who isn't leaving at 6:00 to help us.....
Another thing she was a freelance Photographer and waned us to tell our friends that we're getting married that she could do the same job at a cheaper price....

I was not a happy camper

So do you think it would be ok that when I call next time to tell them to Please give us someone that won't be leaving with in the hour.....
And should I tell them NOT to give us that woman again........
Sorry so long....
TIA

That stinks. But I wouldn't call and say I don't want so and so (we've all been in the position where we want to leave work and something happens....and she might get in trouble). Just ask if there's someone who can spend a longer amount of time with you because you plan on trying on many dresses

I'm sorry that happened to you! They definitely are a more 'self service' place. You went to the one in Nassau right? Believe it or not DB 'consultants' work on commission! I was shocked! The weekends aren't too bad if you make your appointment for when they open. That's what I did when I went this past weekend and the previous times as well. They aren't too helpful there IMO ... you should definitely ask for the person that helped you initially or for another person to help you

I would specifically ask for when the original woman you worked with is there. I always stick to who I am more comfortable with!Sorry about your experience

I would because I loved her, but she only work Mon, Wed, and Fri from 9-4. Plus my MOH and I both work in the same office so we can't go during those hours together....

That sux. Yeah DB is so touch and go! I remember when my sis went to DB too. I was a different experience every time in the same location! Finally she used to call in advanace and make an appointment with the same girl, who never made her feel rushed or tried to sell her. I would also tell the manager about her trying to sell you about the photo things. Thats not why you were there so she shouldnt have mentioned it. She could have handed you a business card and called it a day, but thats it.

Re: Disappointed with David's Bridal( a little long)

When I first went to Davids I had an appt because they said you should make one, One I arrived for my appt they said that they dont do appt's. I was like ok! so they gave me a girl that was helping like 8 brides. My mom had to go find my dresses, shoes and veils. By the time the girl came back I tried on 5 dressses! I told her never mind that i didnt need her help and to please grab my mom and application! She didnt find it amusing!

You can try asking a manager if there is anyway they can have the original woman come in to help you maybe see if she can change her hours?

HTH

P.S. if you went to the nassau one, there is a younger girl cheryl she was great when i stopped to look at BM dresses you can try asking for her she was so helpful!
