Disappointing evening....

So here I am, so excited to be moving back from MA to LI, and I go out to a bbq today with all of my friends, and WOW have I changed since I moved away. I feel likeI have NOTHING in common with most of my friends anymore! NADA. They were all sitting around, not even having conversations, just acting like they were in high school, which is fine, but boring and annoying at a certain point, and I just realized while FH and I were moving on with our lives, our friends were here not doing much. No one has a career or goes to school or anything, which is totally FINE, but I just have nothing in common anymore with them It was just a let down because I was really looking forward to hanging out with all of them again, but now I realize that they're boring. It just stinks. Thanks for letting me vent.

I know what you mean 100%. when I left NY to finish college, I could not wait to return, when I did 'it was not the same' everyone did their own thing, new friends, etc. There is nothing wronge with that, be friendly with them, but remember this is a start of a new part in your life. Include them where you feel you fit.

I agree with Jenny. I had the same problem when met FH. They were just on a different path from where we were heading. I still love them all dearly but I just don't hang out with them like I used to!
