Discontinued registry items

Discontinued registry items

How do you know when it's discontinued? Do you get an email from the store saying that stuff you registered for is discontinued? Do you just find out by looking at your registry?

macys sent me an email! It ***** when they do that! Gotta get new things now...

I work at Williams-Sonoma and I don't think we e-mail about discontinued items. It's also hard because if they are discontinued in the store but you can usually still get them online so we recommend coming into the store. I've heard that Fortunoff's e-mails but I don't have many things on that registry yet.

Macys sent an email. I just logged onto my account, OMG almost everything is being discontinued!!!!!!

Oh no! Did you register a long time ago? I have only 5 items on my Macy's registry so far lol

I've only had items discontinued at Crate & Barrel and I didn't get an e-mail, I found out by checking my registry. It said limited stock, and now those items are no longer available. At least it let us know it was coming so we could rush to the store and snatch them up

When C&B discontinues things they put them on clearance (min of 50% off) so FH and I went and bought some of our glassware and placemats/napkins. We really liked them and they were super cheap, so we kept track of how much we spent and then when we got some $$ gifts at our e-party we reimbursed ourselves for it and treated it as gifts. I'm really glad we did that because I like what we bought

BBB sent me mail at home, not email.

crate & barrel, didnt get a notice. I found out by looking

nothing at fortunoff got discontinued so idont know whatthey do

Oh no! Did you register a long time ago? I have only 5 items on my Macy's registry so far lol

We registered in July. Had our engagement party a few weeks later and did nothing with the registry since then. I have some gift cards that I will use up on some discontinued items (if they are in the store).
I have 33 items on the list and it says i need 200 for a guest list of 150

Some of my items were discontinued at BBB and they did not tell us. I noticed they were no longer available online and called customer service, that's when they told me they were discontinued

Interesting because some of my items are not available online anymore either. I wonder if people can still get them in the store then.

We started our registry in October but put very basic items on there. It's no where near done. I just needed to get it out of my system!

Fortunoff sends an email for any discontinued items.

well that happened to me, either when you go to add more things to your registry it will be on the list and they will tell you or when you check on the computer it will be highlighted and say you need to replace this item
