discount BM dresses

My BMs all love Bill Levkoff #470, I wanted to see if I could order it cheaper. Anyone try Houseofbrides.com or any other website?? I'm a little nervous but want to save them $$

I would recommend Phyllis at Bridal Elegance for purchasing the dresses but would go elsewhere for alterations. My BMs went there and ALL of them had a VERY bad experience. But she can get the best price by comparrison.

The only other place who came close was Bridal Suite of Huntington. In retrospect, we should have gone there.

I haven't ordered from House of Brides, but have heard mixed things about the company on this board and TheKnot.

I ordered my Alfred Angelo dresses from Pearl's Place in Louisiana. It's a brick and mortar store but ships everywhere. The dresses came in on time, in good condition, and were 1/3 off retail. Each of the BMs went to their own seamstress or tailor for alterations.

I've also heard pretty consistent good things about NetBride. I got a quote from NB for the BM dresses and they were pretty responsive and the prices were quite competitive, although the quote was a few dollars above PP.

I believe a fair amount of women on this board get dresses from RK Bridal, too. Like PP, RK is a discounter that has a 'real' store.

i know people who used house of brides and didnt have a complaint. As for bridal elegance after seeing what a few of my friends have gone through i wouldnt deal with them

You can also try Helens bridal in commack...i got my gown and BM dresses there and the prices were pretty decent. i got my dress for ALOT lower than other bridal salons. You can call them and give them the style number, they will prbobly give you a price on the phone.

Try the Wedding Center in Commack....they will match ANY price you've already been quoted. Also, I've found that RK Bridal in the city is by far the cheapest...but it doesn't come with a seamstress, so you would need to find one closer to home. Good Luck.

I just ordered my Bill Levkoff BM dresses from netbride....I'm supposed to get my confirmation today! I'll let you know how it goes, but the prices were way better and I've heard lots of good reviews....

I ordered from House of brides for my brother's wedding. they dress came in in a timely manner and was in great condition! The price was much better than the bridal salons! HTH

RK bridal in the city sells their BM dresses for less than elsewhere...also a little trick, they say if you find the price for less anywhere else and bring them proof they match the price...other girls on LIW have done this and it worked, they brought in the dress they wanted for less on houseofbrides or other online stores and Rk bridal matched the price

there is a seamstress there, the only time you dont get the option of a seamstress is when you do the no frills program.
