i feel the same way i feel like anything could come to my house and how am i suppost to know it is not a copy of the gown i want?????

I'll probably use netbride for the bridesmaids dresses, if not then I'll use RK bridal's no frills program. I just want to keep cost down for them.

IMO, they are pretty safe to use. I got the list out of a book I bought 'Bridal Bargains.' This book also has a website. I checked the BBB for any company I thought of using and they checked out with no complaints. according to the book I have, no website received a grade lower than a B-, and is was usually becasuse the sites were confusing at the time the book went to print. If nothing else, you can always contact the store you want to buy from and give them the lower quote! Hope this is helpful.

I just found my gown on one of these sites...the retail price they list was alot more than what I was quoted in-store, and their discount was only $500 more than what I ended up paying in the store...so maybe you should check out the prices of the gowns in stores before buying on the website. It might not be a big difference and if you buy at a retailer, you know it's real.

I just called the woman who owns gownfind and she was great! Her name is Phyllis and she at exit 51 on the LIE. She quoted me the lowest price out of all of them. She is going to measure me and then order the dress. It's not like the RK Bridal No Frills program where the price is only applicable to web orders. She will do the alterations and is capping them at $150. I am definitely going to order my dress from her. If anyone would like the number to call her, let me know. One of the other brides on the '05 board used her and liked her.

I definitely will. I called my mom and FMIL and asked them if they would like to come with me to order. Both said yes. I plan on going sometime next month. I can't wait!!

I ordered from Phyllis and she is great! She has the best prices around. I have seen her work on a woman who needed a custom gown made and she is patient and caring as well which you will really never find in a bridal store.

She answers emails quickly and accurately and when you are at her shop, she never rushes you.
