discounts on BP dresses???

I ordered my dress from BS of Bayshore... I was told that my bridal party would get a discount on their dresses if they ordered from there as well.

i went in today to order the first of SIX BM dresses and possibly MOB dress... they offered the BP $10 off of their $179 dresses.

I was really upset by this. I asked if they could drop the price more, reminding them that I have already spent $2K there and they'd be getting about another thousand if we ordered everything else there and they said no.

so i said i was leaving, then they said they'd take another $7 off. I was still really upset that they were only willing to take off $17 from their dresses.

i am not good at bargaining. either you drop it or you dont, i am not going to beg. and the MOB dresses are all like $600!!

can you tell me what a typical discount is when you order all dresses at the same place. or a specific example from BSoB.

i got a great deal on my BP dresses as well as my gown.
I do not really know what percent discount or whatever, but it was a lot more than $10 i can tell you that.

Im in the same situation. I ordered my dress from BS of Centereach and was told that my BP would get a 5% discount. Seriously, it comes out to $8.

And then it makes me wonder....do they raise the price on purpose just so when they give the 5% discount it brings it back down to the original price? I only say this b/c the BM dresses were $168 then minus the 5% was an even $160. I dont know, it could just be me thinking the world is out to get me.

Did you price it out elsewhere? my BM dresses are listed as retail $190 on houseofbrides.com. i think they were something like $130 on there but i heard so many horror stories that i was afraid to use that particular website.

One bridal shop we went to had the dresses for $205!! (that's with retail 190!) Another had them for $185. I think lillette's had them for 176, and after the 10% they came out to $158 before tax/alterations.

My grandma also found her dress for below retail, and Lillette's beat their price and gave her 10% off as well.
