Well I'm finally on LI, and I'm not finding many places that I can even look at. Most have minimums that are far above what we are going to have.
I could have sworn that Watermill had a small room with a low minimum!
Anyone have any other suggestions for places with low minimums? (We've seen/are seeing - Fox Hollow (which I loved, but the minimum was too high), Miller Place Inn (minimum too high), Milleridge, George washington manor, Manor east and 3 village inn in stonybrook.

Re: Discouraged
do you have a preference as to one wedding at a time or not?

I'm looking for a Sat. evening.
Crest Hollow gave me a minimum of 160 for their smallest room.
We're looking for around 100 people.

Re: Discouraged
Okay I found this out for my wedding in may.. The Swan Club is about a 5 min drive from George Washington Manor..
Room Mins : The After Deck, smallest room 40 people The Contessa Room, nice room, min 90 (she told me that was the lowest I could have in that room) The Camelot Room min 120 The Garden Room min 120 (what's good about this room, it's downstairs, away from everyone else, you have your own small bridal suite and private bathrooms for your guests..
Wow - I think 160 is a high min for there. I dont know of many places that only make you guarantee 100 though. I only had to guarantee 135 for a sat night.

Re: Discouraged
I looked at the Inn at Quogue, which was really cute, but too small for us... we have about 110-140, and the Inn is better suited for around 100... no minimum, and the prices were pretty reasonable. I'm having mine at the Southampton Inn - no minimums.

I looked all over, and I do mean ALL OVER. (people here can attest to that) Sat evening for 100 people is going to be really hard to find. You could try East Wind's country garden. Maybe Chateau Briand.
I have 100 too, and that minimum alone is a biatch to work with. Will you consider other times than Sat night? Like Sat morning, or Friday night? You'd do better.

Re: Discouraged
How about Leonard's. Have you tried talking the caterers down about their minimums. We did that for our catering hall. And I heard East wind can accomodate smaller sized weddings as well.Good Luck

I'm getting married at the Watermill and I only have to guarantee 90 people and we are in the Astor Room. They do have a small room in the back....
