Leonard's has a couple of rooms that are smaller. There's the continental room (my fav, but it was already booked) and the collonade room.

which room did Crest Hollow try to give you?
i know there are a few nice places that can have 100 people... maybe try a search here
They wouldn't even tell me a room, they just said the minimum they would accomodate was 160, unless it was a Sat. day, which I am definitely not interested in. Even in the off season, their smallest room would still have a minimum of 140, according to whoever I spoke to on the phone (a woman)
Does anyone know if reception halls use Saturday pricing for Sunday before a holiday? I was thinking the day before labor day (the Sunday) might work if Sun minimums/prices were in effect?
(Also will caterers work with you on the minimums - ie, if their normal price is 80pp with 125 minimum, could you pay 100pp for a 100 minimum? (I'd, of course, rather not do that, but I'm wondering if it's an option if it comes down to that)

The Meadow Club has a reception room for smaller parties. You can check them out if you'd like.

Definitely go to the Westbury Manor. The garden room minimum is 100 but you might be able to work with you. They also have rooms upstairs for a smaller wedding. They have beautiful gardens and the food and service is impecable. With the garden room you also get the library room which is adjacent to the reception room.
It is perfect give them a try.

Re: Discouraged
Ok...its the Saturday night that is making the min so high...We got Watermill on Friday night for a 125 minimum, STewart Manor CC is 100 minimum always...I thinkthose too are your best bets for 100 or so people or Miller place CC( so nice!)

Re: Discouraged
The thing is we really want the Saturday night - we have a lot of family coming from out of town (but only from Jersey, so they'll want to just come in for the day, and not spend the night, so doing it on a Friday is hard - they'd have to take the day off work (and school for some of my cousins) and then Sunday night because they have to get home at a decent hour to get to work the next day)
I'll definitely check the Westbury Manor! Thanks!

Thatched Cottage in Centerport has a low minimum , we are only having 100 as our minimum and they'll work with you... if its your style, you could give it a shot

You can also try Smithtown Landing CC - they are very flexible and The Crestwood - their minimum is low because it's a smaller place.

I'm getting married at Rockhill Country Club in Manorville, I only have 100 people and the price was beyond reasonable.

Re: Discouraged
Sunset Harbor had a 130 minimum for a saturday night (110 during the off season)
Keep your fingers crossed that Three Village Inn will work for us, because that looks like it may be our best bet.

Try Larkfield Manor, they have a smaller room.
I was just going to suggest it. They have 2 smaller rooms there. I am not sure what their minimum is for those rooms.

Re: Discouraged
Weird question, but does anyone know if Sundays before a holiday are treated like a Sunday? (or do places treat them as Saturdays pricing/minimum wise)
I'm thinking we may have better luck planning the wedding for the day before labor day or maybe the day before Memorial day, since most people have the next day off. I wouldn't mind having a Sunday evening wedding in that situation (but if it's going to be just as expensive/high minimums as a Saturday night, why bother?)

I think the Huntington Townhouse has rooms for smaller parties like that. And they are very reasonably priced.

Re: Discouraged
I can see that - there are really only 3 days a year it happens (Presidents day, Labor Day and Memorial day - there are other holidays, but most people don't have the monday off) - the date is definitely flexible, so we'll see what happens.

I looked at the Crestwood on 25A in Northport for my rehearsal dinner. They have a couple of rooms, and their biggest room holds 125 people. It was a really beautiful place. Not sure about their wedding prices, though.
