Disney ? April 2005

We are thinking of going to Disney World in April. Theres gonna be like 12-15 of us. I am looking online and cant get prices anywhere. Did anyone stay at the new all star pop century. Know how much it is around? I stayed at all star music like 2 years ago had a great time and would do it again. My mom suggested the boardwalk villas for all of us to share but Im sure those are a lot more then the all stars.

We stayed at the Carribbean Beach resort in May and it as great, it was a vacation within a vacation, I felt like I was back in Jamaica, if you don't fel ike going to the parks, you feel like you;re away in the Carribbean, and they have a beach!! It was great, very clean, food good and reasonably priced at the food court and the transportation was great, very close to Epcot.

I really cant wait to see the kids react.

His nieces have been when they where a lot younger he has Twin Nieces that are 13 and a niece that is 10 and a nephew that is 2 (almost 3) and my nephew is 2 and step niece is 8.

My brother and his brother and sister and parents all live in florida so at least they will get Florida resident discounts.

Pop Century is the smae as far as amensites and price to all of the all stars..rack runs from $77-109/night but you can usually get it cheaper when they ahve special rates. Disneyworld.com has prices. See if there's a special magicla gathering rate. and YUP Small world has been closed for awhile, but right across the street is Philharmagic, which is FANTASTIC, so you may not miss SW. Also, there's a new stich ride (the old alien encounter, which was mission to mars before that) so there's lots to see. I don;t know if carousel of progress and the timekeeper will be open then, but they've been open the past few times I've been there b/c of other rides being closed. Good Luck!

ETA: Pop centure will be cool for the kids because of the big icons, just like the all stars, and the pools are themed as well. I think it's a great palce for kids, infact the value resorts are usually the most packed with kids and seem to be hte most kid -friendy! They layous are also pretty easy, so the kids cna wander off if they want to and you don't have to worry about them getting lost. I recommend getting a rpeferred room (which i've done at my stays at all star music0 because otherwise you don't know how far you'll be form the main hall and the bus stops, etc if you are preferred, then you know you're right near the main hall/bus stops and usually one of the pools Good Luck! I'm so jealous! I'm goign through disney withdrawal..

OH! And keep in mind that in april you're going to get a lot of people on spring break, and a lot of teens, cheerleading groups and stuff like that, so it might be REALLY noisy at the value resorts...

Re: Disney ? April 2005

try themagicforless.com it's a travel agency and I've gotten great deals.

When I went with a package we stayed for 5 days and it was $1100 for two people, so i know you can do better, but April is the high season. Did you try calling them up? also try mousesavers.com to see if there's a discount.

Another tip: with that many people, even though you're not staying the 8 days to make an annual pass worth it, you may want 1/2 the people to get annual passes so that they can book rooms at the annual passholder rates (each passholder can book 2 rooms)....our our recent trips JUST the hotel savings have made the annual passes worthwhile. We stayed at Port orleans french quarter (normally starts at $133) for $74/night in june and at that time the rate for the value resorts was $55/night..so it really may be worth it..!
