We are thinking of going to Disney World in April. Theres gonna be like 12-15 of us. I am looking online and cant get prices anywhere. Did anyone stay at the new all star pop century. Know how much it is around? I stayed at all star music like 2 years ago had a great time and would do it again. My mom suggested the boardwalk villas for all of us to share but Im sure those are a lot more then the all stars.

Thank you so much for all your ideas. And I was thinking that April might not be that bad. Easter is in March this year. So I thought Spring Breaks (except for us) would be on spring break then. I don't know. I was thinking that Maybe if We had all the florida residents put all the rooms in their names and checked in for us We would get a discount LOL HOW GHETTO!!!

go onto Priceline.com, I was talking to my friend last week and she stayed at a Disney-related resort in downtown Disney and paid about 50 bucks a night, she sais it was really great! And she is tough to impress, we are looking to go to Disney in April and will probably use proceline, it gives much cheaper rates.I think the name of the hotel she syated at was the Disney Plaza resort.

Pop Century is the smae as far as amensites and price to all of the all stars..rack runs from $77-109/night but you can usually get it cheaper when they ahve special rates. Disneyworld.com has prices. See if there's a special magicla gathering rate. and YUP Small world has been closed for awhile, but right across the street is Philharmagic, which is FANTASTIC, so you may not miss SW. Also, there's a new stich ride (the old alien encounter, which was mission to mars before that) so there's lots to see. I don;t know if carousel of progress and the timekeeper will be open then, but they've been open the past few times I've been there b/c of other rides being closed. Good Luck!
They just put the rates up. It has been down for 2 days. The cheapest I got was 817.40 for three nights 2 adults GULP
Okay, that's insane ... we paid about that for CONCIERGE at the Wilderness Lodge for three nights with AP discount ...
BTW, the new Stitch thing stinks

my family is going in may 2005 and we are planning on renting a 7 bedroom house. this might be a good option for you since you have such a big group. yes, you are not on the property, but in many cases staying off property will get you to the parks just as fast b/c the buses run slow. in addition, you'll save a lot of money, especially on food since you can eat breakfast at the house, pack lunches, and even do dinner there if you want. also most of the houses have their own pools and hottubs and some even have game rooms with a pool table and stuff.
just a thought! good luck!

We just came back from our Disney Honeymoon! we have been back a few weeks and I cannot let go of Disney---we are still in our own little world!! That place is amazing. We stayed @ the Carribbean Beach and loved it!!! It was beautiful and so much fun! I booked a whole package with the park hopper tickets and everything and it only cost us like $1600 for a week. We did go in the off season though. You should get the DISNEY VISA card and start earning reward points. we did this and had over $300 to spend anywhere in Disney!!!
I have also stayed @ POLYESIAN (sp?) and The Port Orleans Resort--both are beautiful! The new POP Century Resort is right by the Carribbean Beach, it looked AWESOME!! I think the kids would love it!

If any of the people going are:
Teachers Nurses Government Employees (federal state or city) military
They can get rooms at the Swan or Dolphin hotels for $129 for the Dolphin $144 for the Swan. These hotels are in between Epcot and MGM (and while they aren't official Disney hotels, they have free transportation, plus most of the beneifts of official disney hotels (early entry and such)) and are BEAUTIFUL. I stayed there last October and have no complaints.
I'm not sure how many rooms each person eligible for the discount can get - I know when we went last year, my mother was able to reserve 3 rooms (she is a nurse) at the discounted rate with no problem.
(Looking at the disboards website - you can get 3 rooms with this discount - so depending on who you have in your group, it *may* work out for you) (You will need to provide proof for this discount - I remember they asked my mom for a photocopy of her nursing license when we checked in)
