Re: Disney haters
I wouldnt say I am a Disney hater but I have never been and never had the overwhelming desire to go or to bring my future children for some reason.
I HATE things dressed up as things also, so since this is such a HUGE part of Disney world that may be a reason. LOL

I am soooooo over Disney. I have gone too many times. I like rollercoasters, I like to drink, I don't like long lines..I don't like how it takes forever to get out of the park. I love Six Flags and Busch Gardens. I love Islands of Adventure

Re: Disney haters
Disney is ok, but now that I've been to Universal (Islands of Adventure), I have zero desire to visit Disney again. Maybe when I have kids I'll want to bring them...

Re: Disney haters
I'm not a Disney hater - I actually love it there
But it took me a LOT of convincing to get Anthony to agree to go to Disney with me in 2 weeks.. Some of the words he used to describe it was 'so lame' 'childish' and 'boring' . HE grew up in California and spent so much time in Disneyland, he never had ANY desire to go to Disneyworld.
It's only when I promised him that we'd also go to Universal/Islands of Adventure that he got more into the idea of going with me! And even now I'm not sure he's too thrilled
MY boss is officially a Disney hater though - he won't even take his kids there. His big line whenever people would rave about Epcot was 'if I wanted to go to France, Italy, Mexico , etc. I will GO THERE - not some poor imitation
Yes, he is a snob

Re: Disney haters
I like Disney but DH & I went a few years ago and agreed we won't go back until we have children that will enjoy it. It was very expensive and overpriced.

Re: Disney haters
I don't really have any desire to go now. Though my brother and SIL go and they love it. I know when we have kids I'll be more interested in it.
For me, I think part of my lack of interest has to do with the crowds- I have such an aversion to crowds now.
Oh ME! The last time I went I was in 10th grade and I swore to never go back again until I had kids of my own that are old enough to remember it. I was just bored.

Re: Disney haters
Don't hate it, but I don't really like it. And I don't plan on going back until I have kids. I went there a few years ago and was bored out of my mind, I couldn't wait to leave.
And the rollercoaster in the dark was overrated. I could see where I was going! (what is that Magic Mountain or Space Mountain?). The only ride I actually liked was the haunted one.

Re: Disney haters
I actually enjoyed them when I went, but I am not sure if I would bring my kids or not. I am a little sick of all the merchandise and how kids get so brainwashed by it. I guess I will cross that bridge when I get to it.....my nephew is 4 and is asking to go already!

Nope. Still boring (IMO anyway) and I like Disney movies. Save your money and go to Universal or MGM. But i like Universal better.

Don't hate Disney, just don't have any urge to go there. There are many more places I'd rather go to. Maybe when I have kids...

Re: Disney haters
I went when I was 13 and HATED it ---- went back when I was 20 (almost 21) and couldn't get enough...
I think the liking/hating has a lot to do with who you're with --- when I was 13, I was with my whole family (grandparents too) and the trip was too 'structured' for my liking.
When I was almost 21, I was there with FH and his family, but we pretty much did our own thing. I had a GREAT time in Disney w/ FH.

Re: Disney haters
I love disney for a ton of reason, and I hate disney for a ton of reasons. Major reason is I hate what a HUGE effect they have on the local economy...but I could write a book there and no need to bore you nice people about it.

Re: Disney haters
DH and his Brother hate it. Their parents used to 'drag' them every year.
I'm always like 'Boohoo - my parents took me to Gettysburg to visit historic battlefields!!'
He's coming around to it now that we have young nephews, but he'd still rather be anywhere else.
