I know there are some disney experts on here!! I would really appreciate any input. Dh and I are planning a disney vacation, and I'm pretty clueless about which parks to go to. Dh def wants to go to Universal Studios. What other ones, are really good?Of course I want to go to the magic kingdom lol. Also, would you recommend park hoppers? We def need more than 1 day in each place right? I'm lost!

Re: disney help!
you HAVE to get the park hopper tickets!
this way you have the freedom to visit more than 1 park a day, which is nice if you have dinner reservations at one park but want to spend the morning at another.
Disney has 4 parks: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios (used to be called MGM), and EPCOT (which has all the different countries in it)
are you staying on disney property? i also recommend that. its so much more convienient. disney picks you up at the airport and takes your luggage from the plane and puts it right in your room! you get free transportation to and from all the parks and downtown disney (night-life and shopping area) and you get perks like extra magic hours which you can arrive or stay up to 3 hours earlier/later than other guests.

Re: disney help!
we are staying right outside of disney bc dh got a great deal from work. They threw in a rental car which makes it much easier to get around. We also are going to visit family while we are down there, so a car is key If we weren't getting such a great deal, I would of def stayed on disney property!

oh wow thats great!
I say go to ALL the parks! haha.
Magic Kingdom is a must because it has all the 'kiddie' rides that are STILL fun, like Pirates of the Caribbean, the teacups, Snow White, and then some thrill rides like Splash Mountain and Space Mountain.
EPCOT is great because it has all the countries where they have DELICIOUS FOOD --have to make reservations at the Canadian steakhouse. hands down best steak you will ever eat!
MGM/Hollywood Studios is good because it has a lot of shows (Indiana Jones for him, Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast for you!) and more adult rides like Tower of Terror.
Animal Kingdom is also good because it has an actual safari to see animals. and a great rollercoaster!
FM me if you need anymroe info!

oh also you can try to do 1 day for each place but youll get tired quickly. The best bet is to get there early in the morning and then go back to your hotel around 2-3pm for a quick nap/resting time. then head back out for dinner and nighttime rides.

Re: disney help!
we went in sept, it was DH's first time, and you def need to do the park hopper! not sure what you guys like, but DH really wanted to go to the water parks, so we got the hopper w/ the water park option, and we had a blast there. We would also spend the day at one park, go back to our room, then go to dinner at another park that night. have a great time!!!

Park Hoppers are great! Also, if you stay at one of the higher end resorts on their property, you can get passes into the park after they close sometimes. I know they offered that to us in 2001 (the last time I went).
I've heard Animal Kingdom is great and you have to go to MGM. Skip Sea World. Go to both Universal Parks. Only spend one day in Epcott (it's a smaller park).

they offer it for all resort guests now. we stayed in a low end last year and we got to stay at magic kingdom til about 2 in the morning. it was great because it was less crowded and it was just fun to do all the rides at night.

Re: disney help!
We go every year and do the same thing each time. We spend 1 day doing Universal and Islands of Adventure. Their great parks but really not alot of stuff to spend just 1 day doing each. We spend an extra $35 for the fast passes and it is sooo worth it especially when its packed. You speed thru all the lines and that helps with getting both done in one day.
As for Disney we always get the parkhopper depending on how many days we want to spend in Disney. Usually 2-3 day park hoppers. We always manage to do 2-3 parks a day depending on lines. We fastpass any ride over a 30 minute wait. Since Epcot has the least ride attractions the lines are horrendous so you need to get there early and fastpass everything. When we went 2 yrs ago we got to the park at 2 and every fast pass was gone so we wound up waiting a loong time.
I could go on and on but I'll stop.

Re: disney help!
I have some food recommendations :)
Dinner at Tutto Italia (Italy in Epcot) - so incredibly delicious... Dinner at Narcoossee's (Grand Floridian) or California Grill (Contemporary) Breakfast at Chef Mickey's (Contemporary) Snacks at Main Street Bakery
I'm sure I could come up with more! Those are the first ones that popped into my head...

Re: disney help!
Lunch/Dinner at Canada (make sure you call ahead) have to eat in the castle! Fultons in Downtown disney is also amazing or the Living Seas in EPCOT request a table right in front of the aquarium!

This is def the way to go! grab a park hopper too! if you decide to do the water parks (they r fun but being from out eat splish splash is better) go when they open i just got back from my honeymoon and we went to both water parks 2 diffrent days and we were in and out and hit all the rides in 3 hours!! this gave us plently of time to hit up magic at night for the parade and fireworks (although we missed the parade cuz we fast passed spalsh mountain for the same time!) how long are you staying?
