DISNEY Honeymoon

Has anyone gone or planning to go on their honeymoon to disney world or their cruiseline. I have been getting mixed responses from family members and friends. If anyone did go how much did you spend? And also how was it. Our wedding in the first week of September so I'm thinking that not too many kids will be there becuase school starts. Please Help

We always go to disney in september, but wouldnt you know it? There's still kids there!!! It's still really hot in September, but not as busy. The most you'll wait on line is 5 or 10 minutes. Im a disney nut, so there's no thing as a bad time in disney.

Don't listen to your negative family members!!!

Disney is a TOP Honeymoon Destination. FH and I are planning to go 3 days in the parks and 4 on the cruise. I LOVE Disney World, and always will. I actually used to work in the Magic Kingdom.

FMIL is going on and on about how we should go someplace romantic. I just want her to shut up about it, especially since the places she's suggesting are a lot more expensive (to make romantic) and she's not pitching in.

Oh well.

We're going there for our honeymoon!! We have to still book it (that would help!) We are very excited though. It can be very romantic down there. I hear they treat newlyweds like royalty It is affordable and there is soooooooooo much to do!! Definetely a good place to go--especially in September, when it's hurricane season-don't want to risk going to the islands--FL is less of a risk! We are nov. I hear it's dead down there that time of year--we'll find out!!

I've been on the 7 day cruise already and been to disney world countless times, even FH proposed there.. I loved the cruise, we plan on doing it again for the honeymoon. I think its a great spot! Where can you tour countries, act like a kid, and have some of the finest foods and nightlife in all one place?? Ooh I'm getting excited just thinking about it!!

While we're not going there for our HM, Disney is probably my favorite vacation destination ... I never cease to have an amazing time each and every time I go there (and I think I've been there AT LEAST 10x!!)

In my opinion, the best time of year to go is in the fall. The temps are still warm, but not as humid as in the summer .. and there are DEFINITELY less kids there (there are still some, but not nearly as many as on spring break and/or summer vacation). There is just SO much to do there!

Heck, when you are with the right person (your DH!) romance and a memorable honeymoon can occur ANYWHERE

Well what about Dinsney is not romantic? I think that sounds like the most fun place to go! I love Disney...I was just there a few weeks ago. I think it would be a great place to go for HM. I prolly would not go, but thats just b/c I love the tropics more than anything in the world.

Well...my friend got married there last week...and she stayed for her HM. She comes home tomorrow!!!!

My bother and SIL also got married there and HM there. They said if you walk around the park with your mickey bride/groom ears...you are treated like royalty! It's the happiest place on earth...I think it's great for a HM!

Re: DISNEY Honeymoon

while i am not going there for my honeymoon, we just booked a week vacation there in october w/ fh's brother (BM) and his gf (BM) and you all have made me sooooooo excited about this!!!!! we promised no more expensive vacations until the wedding (i.e. cruises etc that we love to go on), so we got lucky and are using my boss's timeshare and its costing us next to nothing for the week at a beautiful hotel!!! disney has great ticket options too, 300 for 7 days for unlimited disney park access, including the 2 water parks, wide world of sports, pleasure island! and universay is like $99 for 2 days for both parks!! so affordable and sooo much fun! so i say yes yes yes to going on your honeymoon there, it can be very romantic, and where else do you have a permanent smile on your face for a whole week!!!!

Re: DISNEY Honeymoon

We booked our Disney Honeymoon
We're going the last week of Oct/early Nov. Not a lot of kids out then. People don't usually travel so close to Thanksgiving.

Jim's never been to Disney and he really wants to see Universal

We plan Disney, Universal, Tampa Busch Gardens, Tampa Sea World, Casino on a Reservation, Mystery Dinner and other stuff.

We just arent the type to sit still. We like to DO stuff and this seemed prefect.

8days 9nights with travel from JFK and tax
$2600

We are starting our life together we hope to do more and see more later on when we have a chance. For now we'd rather do Disney and have a nice apt to come back to than to do Aruba and live in a studio apt. *shrug* just us.

That's how I feel we don't have 5 and up to spend on a honeymoon. We are planning to go for 7 days just to save money.

'm sending half of my honeymoon @ disney and ha;f at Sandals! Septmeber won't be awful. We went in january 2 years ina row..the first year thre were NO kids, and the 2nd year there were kids EVERYWHERE cause they had a promotion. So you never know, and it doens't matter. I don't know about the cruise, but I think we spent $3000 for 4 nights at Disney in a value resort including food, arifare and a LOT of souvenirs...our package (park tixx and hotel) was about $1000 .of course we didn't get the best deal that time. Now I'm a little more savvy and I got $74 for Port Orleans FQ this June! YAY! Anyway, it depends on where you stay..the value resorts are noisier, but MUCH cheaper. I'm a Disney expert, so ask me whatever.
