Re: Disney Honeymoons

Grace, I live in Orlando and can go on and on and on and on and on about different places to stay in the area. I am assuming you want to stay on Disney Property? Do you have a preference as to which theme park you would like to closer to? Do you want a high end hotel, a med end or a cheaper place? Would you like more romantic or more fun? There are a gazillion places to stay and I will be more than happy to help you.

Re: Disney Honeymoons

Oooh! Stay at the Boardwalk Hotel if you want to stay in Disney. We always wanted to stay there. It's pretty expensive, but for a honeymoon - definitely the occassion to splurge!!
But if you want to try something different, you can stay in Universal Studios - their hotels are also amazing.

Re: Disney Honeymoons

For a honeymoon, I would definitly stay in the most elegant hotel - The Grand Floridian! It's beautiful, elegant, and close to everything - the monorail stops there and brings you straight to Magic Kingdom. Good Luck!

Re: Disney Honeymoons

I've stayed at the carribean beach resort, which was lovely. But if I was honeymooning there I would go for the GRAND FLORIDIAN! That place is amazing.

Re: Disney Honeymoons

I have stayed at both the Carribean Beach Resort and the Grand Floridian and I would definately recommend the Grand Floridian for a honeymoon. I am jealous, I love Disney!

Re: Disney Honeymoons

we stayed at the boardwalk and I 100% recommend it! It's gorgeous and elegant, close to everything, and the restaurants and nightlife are the best in Disney (IMHO)!
I'm so jealous! Before we went I bought the unofficial Disney guide on barnes and noble - I found it really helpful.

Re: Disney Honeymoons

We just stayed at The BoardWalk and it was great! I highly reccommend it. You can walk to both Epcot (5 min) and MGM (15 min) and it is very centrally located. TIP: Request a room on the non-boardwalk side. I hear it can get pretty noisy with all the night/dance/jazz clubs there.

Re: Disney Honeymoons

I have been to a few of the disney resorts and Boardwalk is my favorite. It has a lot of restaurants and entertainment right on the boardwalk, it is walking distance to Epcot & MGM, and it has it's own bus from other theme parks and pleasure island. Definitly request a non-boardwalk room because it is quite noisy in the evenings.

I would also recommend the Beach or Yacht club. They are directly across the lake from the Boardwalk and both are lovely hotels.

You are going to have such a great time there!!!

Re: Disney Honeymoons

We are most likely going to go to Disney for our honeymoon as well!! I've been to disney about 5 times and I have stayed @ the Polyesian (sp?), Carribean Beach, Port Orleans & the Disney Village-they are all nice but I have heard the Boardwalk is simply amazing--if we have the money I would love to stay there!

Re: Disney Honeymoons

We have been to Disney to many times to count in the last two years and actually are going again next week and for the last half of our honeymoon in June. We'll be staying at the Polynesian Concierge because we like the 'island' feel it has to it, but you can't go wrong with any property. The Grand Floridian is beautiful and great for honeymoons (awesome restaurants there too!!). For the boardwalk hotels, I like the Yatchclub the best. The Boardwalk Inn is also really cool, just not where I'd want to Honeymoon though IMO. Anywhere you go you'll have an awesome time. Enjoy!!!!
