Anyone ever get them? Are they really a deal? Did you purchase in advance? Who did you get them from? There are all sorts of online brokers selling them, but to me some look shady.
Any other advise info on Disney greatly appreciated....
We are going in March with 2 children under 2.
Thanks!

Re: Disney Park Hopper Tix
We got them 2 times. Once when we went and stayed outside disney. we got them at the gate. And the second time we got them through the Disney Site When we booked our hotel. we stayed at the All Star Music it is one of the cheapest Disney hotels and so worth it. It is a Motel. It has 2 pools one shaped like a piano and one shaped like a guitar. The top of the guitar is the Kiddie pool. We had our car cause we drove to Florida but while in Disney we didn't even use our car we took the bus. It dropped us off in front and picked us up in front. Which was good the night we went to Pleasure Island and had a little to much to drink. There are 2 different Park Hoppers. The second time around we got the ultimate park hopper (included in our package) It got u into everything even the water park. The regular Park hopper (we bought on our own) We bought 4 days worth and only used 3 days worth so we have an extra ticket the never expire.
HAVE FUN!!!

They are worth it! That way you are not stuck in one park and you can go wherever you want.

Re: Disney Park Hopper Tix
If you're staying on property it's someitmes best to get a package so you cna get the ULTIMATE apr hopper pass which entitles you to free Pleasure Island and Disney Quest admission as well as another perk, like a leave a legacy tile or a character breakfast. We've done that once. After that we got Premium annual passes. Annual passes are worth it if you're staying for 8 days or more and are sometimes worth ti at fewer days because of the great hotel discounts. If you have any other disney questions, let me know. i LIVE for this stuff. I think most online brokers are pretty reliable, but they're not much cheaper than buying them form disney, and there are usually deals out there unless it's holiday season.

We got them as a package deal when we stayed at a resort in Disney (Ultimate Park hopper). Definetly worth it if you are staying at a resort there.

Re: Disney Park Hopper Tix
Thanks ladies! We are staying at Caribe Royale which although only 1.5 miles from Disney is considered 'not' in Disney.. correct? I am clueless. They do have a shuttle that will take you to the parks.
We will probably not need the Ultimate because the kids will not be old enough for the water park (darn!) so the regular will probably be good for us. We are going to take turns babysitting with SIL one night so that we can each go out...even if we go to Pleasure Island she said its only a couple bucks to get in so not really worth the Ultimate ticket either.
So if Disney is offering the same deal as all the others I guess I'll get it through them.
TY!!

Re: Disney Park Hopper Tix
For example:
This discounted ticket to pleasure island... is it worth it to buy these things in advance?
Yes, the park hopper tickets are worth it. It's the only way that you can go from one park to the next in the same day. One thing about the regular park hopper tickets that is great is that the unused days can be used for future trips. I am pretty sure that with the ultimate park hopper tickets, say for example you have a five day ticket, once you use the first day, you start your five days, which run out whether you use them or not. I could be wrong...

Re: Disney Park Hopper Tix
we got them every time we went, and they are so worth it. We purchased them in advance when we booked our hotel. we got the four day hopper, but we only used it for 2 days (there were NO lines when we went). We called someone at the resort (i forgot, guest services maybe) and asked if we could have a refund. She said to save it for the next time we were planning to come to Disney, that it would still be good. (We already knew at that point that we were going back in a year or 2). Sure enough we used it for our HM 17 months later & they worked.
Also advice for Disney: -If you stay in a Disney resort, def use the monorail...it is the best. -get Fast Track...basically you *plan* what rides you want to go on that day & then it schedules windows of time. (You don't have to schedule the whole day either, you can do just a few rides with fast track) It sounds like a pain, but it is really easy and it saves you from waiting on big lines (I think the longest we waited on Fast Track was 15 minutes) -If you or DH are smokers, find out ahead of time where the designated smoking areas are. They are kind of hidden and if the Mickey Police catch you smoking, they can ask you to leave th park. -Take an entire day just to see Epcot's The World. I have been back there twice & still have not seen everything. -The first day you are there get the schedule of all the parades & light shows. the afternoon shows overlap from MK & Epcot, as do the night ones and the fireworls shows. -If you have dinner in Cinderellas Castle, try to get a reservation for a window seat for 1/2 hour before the MK fireworks show...they are the best seats to see the show, and th efood was pretty good! -If this march is anything like last winter, bring sweaters and jackets. It was so cold when we went that we had to buy jackets & they cost fortune down there.
That's all I can think of for now.
Have Fun!

Don't be too sad about the water park, it may still be too cold in March.
I didn't think the ultimate pass was worth it either, IMHO

Re: Disney Park Hopper Tix
If you are not going to the water parks, then the ultimate would probably not be the best idea. We had it and we never went to the water parks so it was a waste. Since you are going with small children I would suggest going to the the Magic Kingdom mostlt. Epcot is great for older kids and adults but there are not any kiddie rides. The Animal Kingdom is great for kids too because they have camp minnie mickey where the kids can meet all the characters they also have dinoland and some cool shows that our nieces and nephews really liked. Definitely schedule a character meal. I love the one at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom with all the Pooh characters. Also Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort is great too. It is just a short monorail ride away from the MK. If you have any other questions please feel free to FM me. Fh used to work there so we know pretty much anything there is to know about Disney. Have fun!!

Re: Disney Park Hopper Tix
park hoppers are the best tix. I don't know that in the castle is the bets place to watch wishes. If you really want dsinner and fireowrks, I'd check out the California Grill. I've had dinner there twice nad it's pricey but AMAZING and you have a panoramic view of the park AND the fireworks. From in the castle you really don't get a good total view of Wishes. Fantasy in the Sy was a lot lower and simpler. And Wishes uses the castle itself as a visual aid and part of the show. Just a thought.
Get 'The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2005' It's the BEST guide there it. It gives detailed touring plans, reviews every restaraunt and ride, tells you how long you'll expect to wait and when it is and is not a good diea to use fast pass. It's well worth the $$, especially if this is your first time or first time in awhile. It'll tell you about attractions you might otherwise overlook. I used it the first time I went to Disney and I was able to tour the parks like an EXPERT. I knew things better than FH who had been there twice before. The good thing also about parkhopper passesis that they never expire. So if you decide not to go to the parks one day, you'll still have that day for next time.
ETA: If you want the coveted breakfast in Cinderella's castle, you have to cal EXACTLY 90 days in advance at 7am. It literally sells out in 3 minutes. I think it's worth it. I had a blast. Easier to get is the Princess Breakfast and Akershus. I loved that too! The CIndrella dinner at 1900 Park Fare pretty much stinks. Unlike the other meals, you on't get a lot of face time. The mice come around, but you have to go outsie of the dining room after dinner to get a picture with Cindy and her Prince, whereas at the breakfasts and all the princesses come right up to you. The castle is especially cool because even at lunhc or dinner you may spy Peter Pan chasing Captain Hook around outside. LOVE the castle.
There's also anew Princess thing at the GF, but it's UBER expensive. Also, always get there early. They almost alwyas let you in earleir than the projected time and you can head straight for the rides you want. Toontown is pretty emoty first thing in the morning and you're more likely to see characters then. COntrary to the commercials Mickey and Minnie don't walk around and greet you. if you want to meet Mickey you have to queue up on ususally a long line, so early in the morning is the best time for that. Also since you're traveling with small children, look at the guidebooks guide 'Dumbo or Die in a Day Guide to the MK' and check out the 'Chuck Bubba Relay' to help your kids ride favorites like dumbo over and over again..
Epcot has actually gotten alot better for kids, though maybe not for the little little ones. they now have these KidCot fun stops where the kids get a mask and decorate it more and more at each country pavillion. For $6 or so you can also buy a 'passport' that the kids can get stamped at each pavillion..
At Animal Kingdom, the Lion King show is fantastic for kids, A Bug's Life is a great show, but it involved huge 3-D bugs and I've seen kids up to 7 or 8 run out screaming. Also, often overlooked is the train to Rafiki's planetwatch where they have lots of educational stuff, but best for the little tykes- a petting zoo. The best thing by far at AK is the safari. Early in the morning is the best time to go. Also, often overlooked is the beauty and the beast show at MGM. it's fantastic! it's near broadway quality.
OMG I could talk all day about disney. My cousin asked for a few tips for taking his duaghter and I wouldnt up writing him a 20 page guide! LOL!. Anyway those are some of the more often overlooked things.
