We are going to Disney on our Honeymoon. We've been there before but neither of us have been to the water parks. Which is better Typoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? Can you spend the entire day there or is it a park you can do in 1/2 a day? Best attractions?

Actually, I went to Disney 3X in the past year and not once did we hit the water parks! When FH and I go on our honeymoon, we're probably going to go to Blizzard Beach.

I've been to both 2 years ago. They are different and both have cute themes. If you have the super park hopper tickets and can go to both, then go. They are very small water parks and can be done in 3-4 hours. Great to cool off in the hottest part of the day in FL.

They each have their own theme, I don't see why you can't do both! Blizzard Beach is good for water slides and Typhoon Lagoon has a great wave pool. You can also swim with baby sharks there! Just came back from DIsney on Sunday

Re: Disney Water Parks
i'm still totally clueless about the tickets. on disneyworld.com those tickets are for all the parks, including sea world and universal or only for the magic kingdom? what about epcot, what is that part of? so basically my question is what type of tickets do i get and from where? not interested in any crazy rides, not a ride person.

Sea World and Universal/Islands of Adventure are not Disney parks - they're in competition with Disney actually. You can't use your Disney Park Hopper for those. If you're staying at a Disney resort, there's no direct transportation to those parks, unless of course you rent a car. Then it doesn't matter.
The Universal parks and Sea World are about half hr away from the Disney parks.

Universal/Sea World is not that far from Dianey. With moderate traffic, it is like 20 minutes away on the highway. Not a bad ride. If you are not into crazy rides I would stick with Disney or Sea World. IMO, Universal is great for the roller coasters.

Re: Disney Water Parks
its not half an hour away. i guess if there's traffic. i live in florida and work at disney. its about a 10 mile drive. its not that bad.
i'd go with blizzard beach. the only thing i DIDNT like about blizzard beach was all of the climbing. our legs hurt so badly and we were always out of breath (we are out of shape but come on!) the rides are very unique
we liked typhoon lagoon ONLY because of the roller coaster water ride crush n gusher. other than that, we were kinda bored for the day.

For those are not renting a car, there is a Mears Transportation bus you can use. I'm not sure if you can only use them if you use them for your ride to and from the airport, but they were very easy to deal with. You just call them the night before you want to go to another park outside of Disney, tell them where you are staying, where you are going and what time you want to be picked up and they are there! Then when you want to be brought back to the hotel, call like a half hour before, they will give you a time (I think it was about a half an hour later) and they come get you. Very easy! I would recommend if you are not renting a car! And they are not too badly priced. I think they were about $12 a person, but that was a few years ago.

Re: Disney Water Parks
As for the water parks, we spent a half a day at them. And that was going on the rides numeroues times. I prefered Typhoon Lagoon, but I am not a water person so the few slides at Typhoon Lagoon were just the right speed for me. FH loved the wave pool there. They are both different though. I suggest looking on the sites at the rides at each one and see which you would be more into! HTH!
