I am trying to plan a surprise trip for my hubby. So my two choices are August or Decemeber. December is a lot more money, but we can spend christmas there and relive are 'engagement' trip.
Any advice?
Also, what resorts are good besides the carribean beach resort? I dont think I can afford any of the 'delux' resorts.

Oh, we are staying at a hotel outside Disney, if we were going for a full vacation, we would have stayed inside but for now we didn't want to spend that much

What time in August are you thinking of going? The beginning of August may not be as hot. I lived there for a semester in college - August through the beginning of January and to be honest with you I would much rather be there in December. My favorite time at Disney is Christmas time.
I stayed on property a few years ago at Coronado Springs and I think that is in the same category as the Caribbean beach. It was cool. It is a southwestern themed resort.

I went a few years ago with friends in the month of June. We had a blast. We stayed at the All Star Music and had a fantastic time. We also did breakfast and diner with the characters. That was so much fun.

Christy, it is still hot as heck here in august and the parks get packed as people up norht come down with their kids for the last trip before school starts.

Jenn...the rose garden is in front of the castle...it is a big rose garden, you can walk through and sit down. I look forward to that pic!
Debbie...I think August may be TOO HOT for us. Thanks, I think you are right.
Christmas may be the way to go. We LOVED it last time we went for Christmas.

I went in August....it was hot but not unbearable. We had this fan attached to a spray bottle that we carried around.

I've been to Disney in April ,May, July, and December. It's been a heat wave everyime I've gone! LOL when we went in July it was 106 degrees. (sorry jennbaby) LOL it was so hot everything fogged up the second you went from the AC room to the outside-it was soooooo gross even the pool was like a bath-BUT it's still the greatest place on earth! Stay on the indoor rides-they have AC!!

I was at Disney last August (WORK SENT US THERE :EMO 3: )- it was humid for a couple of days but the day we had off it was 80 degrees and breezy - it's just your luck. It gets hot but I'd worry more about the humidity

I was there over Labor Day weekend once and it was HOT!!! I mean steam coming out of my pores HOT!! However, I sweat at the sight of sun so don't go based off of me. I suggest getting one of those hand fans. Standing on those lines in the sun for a while, it feels hotter than it really is. Have an AWESOME time!! Say hello to Mickey for me!

Two years ago I went in August with my family. It was HORRIBLY HOT. The heat was seriously unbearable, low 90's every day, we were constantly looking for shade.
My parents have a time-share thing with Disney and we stayed at Old Key West. It was nice, sort of set up like an condo complex. I don't know what the prices are like.
