OOH YAY
Ok, if you're going to pick a Value, I would go with Pop Century. It has a few nicer amenities than the All Stars (Actual soap and shampoo instead of in-wall dispensers, nicer food court, MUCH better layout). It does have HUGE icons like rubik's cube, big wheel, etc depending on what decade you're staying in. Unless you're right by the pool though (which is 60's building if I recall, I've only stayed at PC once), it's really not too loud. Also, the layout is MUCH better than at the All Stars since the main lobby and buses are centrally located instead of at one end. At the All Stars you could have a 15 minute walk to the bus/lobby.
If you're going to stay at one of the All-Stars, I recommend Music. We've stayed there like 4 times. Movies attracts more kids, since it has themes of Toy Story, Fantasia, etc, kid friendly stuff. Sports attracts more HS groups like cheerleaders and teams, depending on the time of year.
Music is definitely a bit quieter. We generally spring for the extra $10 per night for the 'preferred view' room. It has nothing to do with the view. there's no view BUT these rooms put you in the Calypso buildings which are the closest to the lobby and buses. it not only saves you a long wealk (which can seem like FOREVER after a long day in the parks) , but it makes it easy to run down to the food court to refill your refillable mug for some tea before bed, etc.
If you're staying at a Moderate, I've only stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter, which I found to be REALLY romantic and beautiful and would def. stay there for a honeymoon.
HTH!
Seriously feel free to ask me any and ALL Disney questions.
I also HIGHLY recommend that you book a priority seating at the California Grill one night. Book for 1 hour before the Wishes fireworks. They dim the lights and pipe the music in and you can watch from the restaurant. it's SO romantic. We've done it twice. We did it on the trip when FH proposed and it was the night before he proposed and it was so romantic he said he'd wished he had the ring to propose right then and there

Between PC and POFQ for me it would depend on the price. If you can afford French Quarter, it's definitely going to be a much more romantic experience for you, though the room itself is not much different. However, we don't splurge on rooms at WDW since we spend so little time there.
WHat are your dates?
CA Grill is a restaurant (upscale..it's pretty expensive..requires 2 sit down meal credits if you're doing the meal plan..which I recommend. love the meal plan!!!) at the COntemporary. Great view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Call 1 407 WDW DINE right NOW to reserve. I think it's 180 days in advance now. See if there's anything available.
ALso, you are going to be there during the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival which is my FAVORITE time to go, other than Christmas, and it is a VERY close second. Read about it. Free wine tasting events, and they add several countries to EPcot with tasing portions and wines you can buy (You can use meal plan snack credits for the tasting portions. We saved them all for this, and spent a whole evening going around and tasting yummy food). Awesome concerts, OMG so awesome. LOVE F&W. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!
It looks like you'll miss the Halloween party, but that's ok. Gotta save something for next time!

Depending on your dates, you MIGHT be there for the Christmas party, which I also recommend. It starts 11/8
