thanks for the reply, since i posted this on o7 bopards no one answered. Do you think i should stay at the resorts there!!!! they have polyesnian and grand floridan resorts, not sure?

Def DisneyWorld....much bigger and a lot more to do....some other nice resorts there are the Yacht and Beach Resorts too....def stay in a resort...won't have to worry about renting a car because they offer free shuttles...

My understanding is that DisneyLand is much, much smaller.

I worked at disney world and my FH worked there for many years. There are so many fabulous places to stay in Disney - it all depends on your budget and your taste. If you want to stay close to the Magic Kingdom then Grand Floridian (the most beautiful and elaborate of all the resorts) is a great place to stay. If you want to wake up to animals outside your room roaming the plains then you want to stay in Animal Kingdom Lodge (that is where we are staying for our mini-moon) Yacht and Beach club is also beautiful and walking distance to Epcot. I have stayed there as well. God I LOVE DISNEY!!!!!

Disneyworld, by far. We went there on the first part of our HM. My only suggestion is that if you are thinking it may be a cost savings, I would definitely look into it. We stayed at the Grand Floridian for 5 nights and it cost a small fortune, the 7 night cruise we went on after cost about 1/3 of what Disney did.

The Grand Floridian is GORGEOUS. Thats def where I would stay if we had the $$. Otherwise, the Beach club is very nice too.

I say neither.
You should look into a 'Garden Suite' at the Boardwalk.
Or a Savannah View room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. (see album!!)
IMO, the Grand Floridian and the Poly are over rated.

I went to Disneyland in CA this summer and had the best time!! It was so great to see the original of everything. The have two parks: Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure. I like Disney World, but in DL, everything is sooo easy to navigate including the resorts. As a matter of fact, the Grand Californian is right on the Disney California Adv. property. The spa there is great, and San Diego is only 1.5 hrs away. We spent a day there and LA is 30-40 min. away and we spent a day there as well. We stayed 7 days and it was fantastic!! If you are a true Disney fan, been to Disney World already, Give DL a try.

I went a couple of years ago and had a blast...stayed in the animal kingdom lodge...saw tons of newlyweds with bide and groom mickey and minnie ears...

Disneyworld, hands down.
Def. stay at a resort there.
The Poly is more of a tropical theme, sort of like going to Hawaii, but not in Hawaii. That will probably be the next hotel that FH and I stay at.
Check out the Disney website. They have a hotel for pretty much every budget and every interest.
We have stayed at the Animal Kingdom twice. It's really an amazing hotel. We go every year, if you have a question feel free to ask!!

FH is from Anaheim, so we've been to Disneyland a bunch of times when we go back to CA to visit family. Disneyland is much smaller than Disneyworld. You'd need one day for the main park, and maybe half a day for California Adventures (the smaller park, kind of the size of Great Adventure?), so you'd need to find plenty of other stuff to do while you're there. You could go to LA for the day and do the 'Hollywood' thing, but honestly, LA is not tourist-friendly and there's not much to do. The beaches are ok but not really relaxing and honestly not very warm either, sometimes even in July & August. You could rent a car and drive north - maybe a few days up the coast and hit Big Sur, not THAT would be a cool honeymoon.
But if you want a 'Disney' vacation, I'd pick Disneyworld, because there's much more Disney to do there.
