Disposable camera

Has anyone used disposable cameras for their wedding? We are thinking about handing a camera to each guest -- hoping they'll capture moments for us (just in case our photographers miss some)... so before our guests leave the wedding they can drop it off into a box or something...

has anyone ever used one for their wedding?

thanks again!!

my brother did that for his wedding and it was so exciting to see how the pictures came out! there were a lot of ridiculous ones, but it's fun and a great way to capture all your guests!

ive been to weddings that they leave one at each table. it worked really well. just make sure someone points out to your guests to use them, or leave a note on it.

im going to get disposable cameras for my wedding

I did the disposable cameras at each table and I am soooo happy that i did! I got a lot of really fun pictures! Also, I feel I got a picture of everyone that was there. I found the best deal at Michaels/AC Moore. I used 40% off coupons for 5 pack of cameras. I went once a week with a coupon each time and it was the cheapest around! Good luck!

Re: Disposable camera

We decided against doing the disposable cameras. Too often at the weddings we've been to, these cameras have been grabbed by the little kids and the film rolls end up being all of their silly face games.

What we did instead was to create 'group rooms' on Snapfish and Shutterfly, and printed out tent cards with the log in info on them and password (same name and pswd for both sites). We had 6 tent cards placed on each table so that everyone would see it. (If I had time, I would have done one tent per place setting.) Our guests then uploaded their digital photos to the rooms and everyone was able to share them together.

We had great success in doing this and it cost $ZERO.

We're doing the scavenger hunt on the pictures.... that way there are certain pics that they take, and it gives a little fun to it. :) There are a few posts on it. If interrested I can try to find them for you. I fell in LOVE with that idea. We are getting one for each table, and ordering a few extra for the kids. The BP kids will all have their own. :)
