I am going to do the cameras too, but if I don't get around to it or have the money for it, I'm not going to freak out. I'm also giving one to each child that can understand how to use a camera in their goodie bag to help keep them busy and have a scavenger hunt for them to do (I hope)

Re: Disposable cameras
I also plan on having them, but only one per table, since I'll have at least 25 tables. I'll most likely go with the 800 speed/15 exposures, since I'm having an evening wedding. My couisn used them at her wedding, and she got tons of great pics.

Re: Disposable cameras
So the I guess since my wedding is during the day and in a pretty bright room, the 400 speed will be better....and it is a good point that whatever shots don't get used at the wedding can be used on the HM....
Thanks ladies, for all of your feedback!

About the drunk friends pictures: I am kinda excited to get those also! Because I think those are the pictures that the photographer definately will NOT take! I love pictures and want to have pictures of everything - drunk friends included

Re: Disposable cameras
Good opinions both pro and con for having disposable cameras on tables.. I think as long as you don't have high expectations, you'll be happy with the end product.
FH and I want them -- we expected that they'll probably be a waste, overall -- but I think even if a few pictures come out and capture something unique, silly, or laugh out loud funny -- it'll be WORTH IT
You gotta understand .. FH and I are such a goofy couple .. so we'd get a kick out of crazy angles, our friends looking foolish, and other stuff that a NORMAL couple might think was horrible!!

Re: Disposable cameras
We weren't going to do it - I figured waste of money - but we were able to get them at that Staples sale also - so it was worth it!!! I'm also looking forward to the funny, drunk pics!

Re: Disposable cameras
We had the regular yellow disposable cameras. there were 27 picts and only like 2 camera out of 25 were used up.. The rest had like 2-3 picts on each so I havent even developed them yet.

Re: Disposable cameras
we had one at each table and most were not completely used up, but we brought them on the honeymoon and are still using them. We were glad we did them because my photographer sucked and the table cameras had shots we would never have had. There were bad pics, too (no flash, blurry, etc), but overall, I was glad i did them.

Re: Disposable cameras
I used them. Think they were Kodak Max (400 speed?) I had all Kodak cameras. With 10 tables I had one color camera & one B&W camera on each table. My daughter (one of my BM) was given the job of making sure all cameras got used up and they were. When I came back from my HM I picked up 21 rolls of film(my 20 & my daughters one). All my pics came out GREAT!!!!!! If I got no proofs & still had everything on film!

Re: Disposable cameras
I had 15 cameras... ALL OF THEM WERE USED... and I had a few shots on two cameras left over.. I packed them and took them on our HM!!!!
I vote for the ones with more pictures.. OH and when you get them developed.. get singles.. some people... especially the older people tables take a HUNDRED of the same pic!!

Re: Disposable cameras
I liked the scavenger hunt idea!! Thats really cute!! I want more info!! At first I wanted this.. but then FI said its a waste most his family is so old and dont know how to work it.. But after hearing the good and the bad I am now thinking maybe stick it at the tables with the younger people - our friends and cousins, couples, and teenagers, they should all know how to use it.. and I can make someone in charge of using them all up. I think my family would take funny pictures while there drunk!! - and I save $$ not putting out so many - what do you guys think? Seriously someone FM me with that scavenger stuff!!

Re: Disposable cameras
We got 27 exp. with a flash at 400 speed. We got them really cheap online. Like the idea of numbering the cameras even though I probably wouldnt confront the person!! :)

Bumping for OctGroom, and to say, I didn't read the part about BW the other day. Good idea-- Didn't know they had those.
