Disturbing Movie spinoff: Which is the most disappointing film in the disturbing movie canon?

You know, which ones were you all set to be freaked out by, but were left thinking...Huh???

Event Horizon
Mulholland Drive
and the all time worst - Vanilla Sky!!!

BLUE VELVET!!! David Lynch needs to shut it!!

I was all stoked to see this bizarre movie because everyone luuuuuurves David Lynch and thinks that Twin Peaks is the awesomest awesome that ever awesomed... anyway, I spent most of the movie distracted and bored. Then came the scene with Laura Dern and Kyly MacLachlan and the speech about the robins flying away and love and my eyes just about rolled out of my skull.

David Lynch you are neither interesting nor cutting edge... and a monkey with a typewriter could cook up better scripts than you!

I guess I'm just one disturbed indivdual...while admit I hated 'Blue Velvet' after becoming obsessed with Twin Peaks, upon further viewing, it became one of my favorites. To this day I won't drink Heinken.

And I think 'Pulp Fiction' was brillant. I loved 'Reservoir Dogs' and couldn't wait for 'Pulp Fiction' and was not dissapointed. I think it was the last movie I saw that I became obsessed with. Movies for the most part bore me now.

I concur. The only thing I remember about this movie is that I shut it off because I couldn't tolerate it. I thought Twin Peaks was awesome.....until I missed one week's episode. Then I was like 'What the hell? I have NO idea what is going on.....'

I gave him another chance with some movie with 'Highway' in the title starring Bill Pullman (Lost Highway maybe?) It didn't redeem him.

I guess the reason I like David Lynch films is because they are not straight forward films. Usaully when you go to a movie, afterwards you say witty things like 'The part when (fill in the blank) was so funny', or 'I liked such and such scene'. I feel David Lynch allows each person to interpret a movie they way they see it, and thus opening it up for debate or analysis. While there are times when I don't want to think about a movie, I just want some entertainment, I do enjoy a good 'what the hell was all that?' occasionally. The best after movie conversations I have had, have been after David Lynch films.

We left the theater saying 'what the ...??? '
Last weekend we went to checkout a few contenders for picture taking..one was SandsPoint Reserve in Port Washington...I actually took a stick & started running around saying 'look hun,the chick from the Village' 'cause it looked like it there...
Yeah,yeah I know..I'm a cornball.. Lately I've been having a lot of 'Steve Urkell' moments.
