Re: Divorced parents???
I think....if they are remarried you would have them walk down with their new spouse....if they are not married and you are comfortable with it I would let them walk down with their significat other...if your not comfortable with that maybe one of the ushers can walk them down

my parents are divorced/remarried.....we are having them walk with their new significant other. FHs mom is widowed, she is walking with her boyfriend. how close are you with their girl/boyfriends....if you are close, include them, otherwise its okay to have them walk alone or be escorted by someone else in your fam

Re: Divorced parents???
I am not intruding them at the Reception for this reason and because FH has 2 moms, 2 dads its crazy

Re: Divorced parents???
for my sister's wedding, my sister did not let my dad walk into the reception with his girlfriend (he was walking my sister down the aisle during the ceremony)
For the reception, I walked in with my dad, then went back to walk in with the best man. My brother walked in with my sister, then walked back to walk in with his partner in the wedding party....
If FH has any siblings, you can do it that way??? BUT....if its easier on them, I would just let them walk in with their dates.. My mom didn't have a date, so my sister didn't want to do it that way.

Re: Divorced parents???
My parents are both remarried but if they were still dating someone I would definitely let them walk down with theirboyfriend/girlfriend. If that person is special enough to share the day with your family they should be introduced with your parents. I know some people have different situations but I think the goal is to do what makes your parents feel most comfortable.

Re: Divorced parents???
my fh's parents have been separated for nearly 20 yrs. they've been with SOs for about 19 yrs, but he doesn't want SO introduced b/c to him 'their not' his 'parents'. So we're having our MC ask them to stand before the BP walks in. He will say something to the effect of 'There are two very important people in the couple's life who they would like to thank, Mr............. and Ms............'
I think they should walk in, but he wants his mom and dad to walk in together - Since she still has his dad's name, they're going to walk in as Mr. Full NAME and Ms. Full NAME

isnt it amazing how much they can hate each other? mine are like that, married for 25 years, divorced for like TWENTY years!!...GET OVER IT, at least for this!! my parents were introduced at the hall seperately, my dad with his wife who i hate ;) and my mother with her man whos like a second father to me... it worked out fine!!...uh my dad was alil upset the DJ called my moms boyfriend 'jaimes stepfather'..but hey i told him to...we're close and i love him!! it all went fine..this was the most nervous part of the day..my parents running into each other..relax girls it all works out!!

Re: Divorced parents???
BOTH of our parents are divorced, Dad are both still with the women they left our mom's for - Mom's are both single. For the ceremony, the Dad's walked in with their wives, DH's Mom walked in with DH's sisters, my Mom walked in with her brother. For reception introductions, Dad's were introduced 'The Bride's Father Richie escorted by his wife Joan' and for DH's Mom it was 'Groom's Mother Linda escorted by her daughters Julie and Laura...' It worked out great and the paretns were all happy.
