Divorced parents driving me nuts!

Ugh! My parents are divorced, his parents are divorced, and they are all being crazy!!! My family tells me to put ffil's side in the back corner on the opposite side of the room. Ffil tells me he doesn't want to talk to anyone from family's side and does not want to sit in back. My mother is so freaking worried about my step-mom looking better then her, that it's beyond annoying. My father is the only normal one, but he's very inquisitive as to how much my mom is helping me. And to top it all off, I have to buy 4 parent albums!!!

Sorry to hear that! Sticky situation. Unfortunately, (JMO) you'll have to seperate everyone to opposite sides of the room. it's just easier to avoid any conflict. My family has the same situation and can't stand to be my father's side of the family. So, I'm putting Mom's side to the right front of the hall and dad's side to the left back of the hall - they're diagnal.

Hopefully they can all put their differences aside for your sake and allow you the piece of mind on your special day.

Wow... I'm sorry to hear you are going through something like this... Just remember there are 4 corners to every room, if need be. Seperate them all so you won't have some major drama go down on your wedding day!

My side of the family is like this! My parents are ridiculuos!! If you need to vent FM me! I can totally relate!

that's tough..i am def. going to have to strategically place some people at my wedding too...i was thinking maybe to mix everyone up instead of having a traditional 'bride side' and 'groom side'..i figured it would make all the plans less obvious..and at the same time would be different from what you normally see..



Cheer up! It will all work out...

Oh sounds like my dad! He said the same thing, back corner and opposite side, I told him if he didnt quit repeating it I was going to sit him in the lobby!

Yeah, my mother actually asked me if my step-mother was going to 'get dressed for the wedding' I didn't even know what she meant, I was like 'No, Ma, she's going naked!' She also doesn't want her announced w/ my father, she thinks my father should go in alone, because 'she is not your mother! she didn't raise you!' Oh the joys o a wedding!

Actually, I was thinking of just letting people seat themselves, with the exception of a few reserved tables in front, but I don't know. I really would hate to sitck my ffil in the back!
