Divorced parents who are remarried getting announced into the reception!?!?

Ok so I have a question regarding my parents! They are divorced and both are remarried. My parents have been divoreced for 13 years. Mom's been remarried for 11, dad for 4. When everyone is getting announced into the reception I am not sure what the proper way to do it is. Do I announce my parents together as the parents of the bride or do I have to do the father of the bride and his wife and the mother of the bride and her husband?!?! I would prefer if I could just do it as the parents of the bride. Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?!?! Thanks!!!!

My parents are divorced, only my dad is re-married.

I am doing my dad and step mom.

'here is the brides father and his wife, mr and Mrs X.

Then my mom:

'And the brides mom Marion X escorted by her son (brides brother??) Paul.'

I didnt want to leave my step mom out. Although we are not close, she has been married to my dad for 25 years.

Hope this helps.

My parents have been divorced for about 15 years, my father is re-married twice, so he is on his third marriage..
I am announcing my parents in together as the parents of the bride. I am not having my dad's wife announced at all.

I am most likely going to do my parents with their spouses but I wish it could just be my parents! But I dont want to hurt anyways feelings or make anything uncomfortable. When I asked my father about it he said I should look up the proper thing to do but is there such a thing?! Ugh!
Thanks for your help!!

Are you close to your step parents? Are your parents 'friends'?

If your parents hardly talk Id just have your mom walk in w/ her husband (being you want him involved) and your dad do the same w/ his wife.

If you really dont want your step parent i nvolved and your parents can be civil to eachother have them walk in together....after all its only 2 mins. Thats what my friend did at her wedding. After the 1st dance she had everyone who was walked in together dance together..but let the parents dance w/ her sig other so noone was feeling akward.

I'm not close with my step-mother at all. She hardly speaks english and she is a nasty lady.
My parents are definetly good friends so thats why it won't be wierd for them to walk in and dance together. Plus my 'step-mother' may not even come to the wedding! <-- I know I'm horrible!

My parents are divorced, neither are re-married, but both are in relationships. I'm having them announced together as the parents of the bride.

This is how i've seen it done in the past. If you're close with her, then say 'bride's father and stepmother'

my dad is remarried, but my mom isnt. My mom and my dad are going to be announced as parents of the bride. His wife has no business being announced as anything. I dont have any issues with her, but this is not about her and she didnt raise me. Plus, my mom would have a heart attack! She is very sensitive about the subject of my dad's relationships because they were married for so long, she and my dad are friends though. plus my ex-step mom will be there. My mom likes her though and so does my dad's new wife, very very weird I know!
His wife is not even sitting in the bridal party table with my dad, I know Im bad... cant help myself

For me, this is not the time to be parading partners, parent's walk into the reception because they are the parents of the bride (or guardian). So if you didnt raise me, go sit down! sorry I feel like starting something, someone pissed me off earlier.

Lady12- That is kind of how I feel about it but then I started to feel bad LOL. Like my parents are my parents. I am not announcing my Bridesmaids with their husbands if they are married just bc they are married! I guess time will tell. Its not that I am not close with her, its just not about her like you said! And my stepfather could care less, hes a guy lol. We will see how I feel as it gets closer I guess! I might just let them all get announced, but then again I may decide just my parents!

my dad is remarried (for the 4th time ) - my mom isn't. They have been divorced for over 30 years and can't stand each other.

I announced my mom as

Bride's mother _________ escorted by _______ (her boyfriend); and

Bride's father ________ and step-mother __________

I am not close to my stepmother or my dad for that matter - however, they are a married couple and it's only proper to be introduced as such.

My parents are married, but DH's are not... Only his mom remarried and her and his father are very civil... step dad gets along well with him as well...

Sooo I just had his mom and dad announced together and they walked in together... no mention of the step dad...
