DIY Bridal Shower Invites!!!

I'm kinda proud of myself.

This is my first DIY project. Still a little rough around the edges....but hey..thats what learning is for.

As most of you know I'm planning my best friends Bridal shower. We do showers a little differently out here in the Wild West than you foxy ladies do in NY. Anyhoo....they took some time and a little bit of effort...but well worth it. Not formal enough for a wedding invite...but thoroughly cute for a shower!!

I got everything from Hobby Lobby. It's all cardstock. I waited till they had their half off and buy one get one free sale. We could have also bought a thicker ribbon but I was keeping with price and keeping in mind they would eventually go in the trash! I also had vellum envelopes that I printed in script all of the addy's. I didn't save one of those because I printed it out and never intended on posting them. Here is my finished product!!

Oh and whats best.....They ended up being under 50 cents a card!!!!!!!

Also...........I am incorporating a little of NY out here. We don't have wishing wells as part of the shower....but we are with this one!!! I threw the idea at the other hostesses and they loved it!!! Since people aren't familiar..this is the insert we put in the invite so people knew what it was and what to bring:

Well....those were the bridal shower invites!! This DIY stuff can be addicting!!!!

wow niners!!! they really came out great!!! what learning process girl- i think you skipped that whole part and started off with the professionalism! Seriously they look great!!! PS. Your friend will LOOVEEE the wishing well idea!! especially since its not popular down in the wild wild west!

Yes...bought a smaller than normal hole punch so I didn't have huge holes on the invite...If we got a bigger ribbon I'd have to probably get the normal size ones. And I did punch the holes myself

And a wishing well..are you kidding me? I learned about this in NY.

Its a well....besides your normal gift....you bring something functional for the house.....toilet paper, box of pasta, kitchen gadgets....detergent..anything, people get real creative..

So the bride has all this functional stuff that comes in handy..hold on I think I have a pic saved.

Nope..had to do that myself, just bought a smaller hole punch to make it smaller for the smaller ribbon.

wow nina! that came out great.. i'm very impressed!! i would never be able to do that-- my idea of a DIY project is driving to the shop and placing the order instead of just ordering over the computer or phone! LOL
