DIY brides

I know some of you ladies are so creative and talented when it comes to the DIY projects. You are so inspiring! So, I have two questions!

1. If you print at home, what kind of printer do you use?

2. What programs do you use on the computer to design your monograms, invites, inserts, programs, etc?

TIA!!!

1. A plain old HP deskjet printer. It was very good to me.

2. MS Word!

Hey!

So we bought a canon printer. I created the invites for my sister's bridal shower last year, and after trying 5 different printers (yep, not exagerating). It turns out that the best ones to use are the canon photo printers. This will not only give you better quality, but most importantly, can handle thick paper.

Let me just say that from a budget perspective it totally makes sense to buy a printer, it is soo much cheaper than getting them printed. Printers nowadays are so inexpensive, it is worth it.

All this with the caveat, that formatting can be a pain the a** (ie: getting the envelopes and paper sizes correctly on the printer).

Finally, I also used MS Word.

HTH!

I agree I just bought a lexmark that I love and I am using it to print out our envelopes, escort cards, and possibly programs.

Everything else invitations std favors tags i had printed at Staples and was very happy Yes it was slightly more expensive than if I printed it my self but I dropped everything off and came back 30 minutes later and it was done. It saved me from spending a lot of time if front of the printer and trips to the store to buy ink. Most of all it saved me some stress so worth a few extra $.

We used indesign, photoshop, and word to make our projects.
