DIY Card Box????

I made mine. Pics in my DIY album.

got thick paper hat boxes at Michaels, painted them with acrylic paint, and hot glued the ribbons and shells on. cut the card slot out with an exacto knife.

couldn't have been easier.

If you have a nice ivory box maybe from a craft store or a nice gift box, you can get tiffany blue ribbon, flowers and glue them on...I got my boxes from Micheal's but the material was already on them and i just added things to it..and cut a slit for the envelopes...a pic is in my album.

i made mine also , got hat boxes from xmas tree and covered them in fabric , hot glued them together

i took paper mache hay boxes(3 of them) cut out most of the bottom of the top one then the sames size hole for the top and bottom of the middle one and the same size hole on the bottom ones top....
then i painted them with a color called vanilla so the brown wouldn't show through the material....
then i gor a bottle of fabric glue called so bo and painted a medium thicknes coat after i had already cut the fabric to the sizes i needed..

then attatched the fabric and smoothed it out
oh make sure you tuck the ends under so they don't fray.

after it was all dry i started the decorating with the ribbon around the lids nd areond the hole for the cards to go in.

what kind of budget are you looking at for the box and how big would you like it?

i'm looking for another project to do and i may be able to make you one if your interested.....

i could probally have it done by next week depending on the size and how you would like it...
