DIY card box

What kind of fabric do you use for the box. is it satin , stretch satin, stretch lycra?
My friend is hooking me up with some fabric at wk( we have like tons of fabric cause we make costumes on site) but i am not sure what kind to get.

Also where did everyone get the boxes from. I saw the right ones at acmoore but they were too small.

my MOH used shoe boxes and boxes from gifts (bed bath and beyond). She used satin and wrapping paper. Pictures in my album
