I know Denise is having an epartycoming up and I'm sure some other gilrs are too so I'm letting you in on a tip I learned today:
TRader Joe's has a dozen roses for $7.99/doz. Ikea has awesome vases for $0.99-$2.50. Put the 2 together....awesome combo
THE CATCH: You gotta do em yourself, you need at least 2 days ahead for the roses to open up and you can only get an assortment. I called stop and shop to see if they can get me all one color. I'm doing choc brown tablecloths with a short square vase with pink roses inside....it should cost me about $7 each, about $10 if I use a whole dozen.
Just wanted to pass on the knowledge....i thought it was cool...it beats the hell out of getting stuff at Michaels at $10 a pop!

My e-party is coming up too and we decided to do DIY centerpieces. We're doing flowers as part of the centerpieces. Michaels had great sales last week, so we got really nice glass vases there for $2 each! We also got votive candles with the glass candle holders ($5 for a dozen)! I'm not sure if the sale is still going on, but if it is, I would definitely check it out!
Apparently Costco sells flowers cheap in bulk so if you need them for a bunch of DIY centerpieces, you can order from them. I think you probably have to be a member, but I don't know.

We just bought a picture signature frame and once we get our e-pics done we will put one in it...we are just going to have a recent picture of us in Mexico in there for the party on Sunday. I really want to do the wish bowl for the wedding.

ahhh seriously wow i have to see if its still going on, i also need to buy alot of candles...I was thinking recently of doing a candy buffet lol, FH looks at me like i am crazy lol...gotta think about the candy buffet thing but those glasses vases would come in handy for it lol...Good for you though

I did my own flower cp for my engagment party. Well my sis did them. We ordered the flowers ahead of time and made them all the night before. it was actually fun!! and they came out so beautiful!!! Everyone kept talking about them. I can rent my sis out if anyone wants to use her...lol
