DIY flowers

I can find places like Growers Box where you get roses and calla lilies cheaper than you prob could at a florist, but is it worth it to try and make your own flowers for the wedding?

I am considering it, but my mother says I shouldn't, dont want to mess up my hands the day before the wedding.

Did any of you girls try it?

I'm going to give it a shot. My cousin (I was MOH) is total DIY girl (owns her own craft business) and what she did was get all the flowers and embellishments and had the BP over the Thursday before the wedding (SAT) and everyone made their own bok's. Then she and my Aunt made the 'altar' arrangement. They had fun from what I understand (I couldn't make it upstate).

I think its worth the shot. I didnt want to use real flowers cuz I dint want to have to worry about putting together the day of. If u can do the flowers a day or two before and have somewhere to store them....go for it. I am doing low CPs with silk flowers
