DIY for centerpieces at the reception.....

So, I was in Michael's today....Just browsing...I had this idea for a long time about making my own centerpieces and knew exactly what to buy...Not only did I find what I was looking for, but I found the best price for it too!!
I bought scallop-edged glass bowls for $1.00 each.. I am putting clear crystal rocks at the bottom of the bowl and adding water. I am dropping a single, large, red silk rose inside. Then I bought mini votive holders, 3/$1.00 to put 2 on each side of the glass bowl. It will have a tealight candle inside of each one...Now, for the best part, I tried it and it looks sooooo nice!!! The light from the candles reflects off the rocks and glass and it glows...It's so pretty and I am sooo happy!!

just a tip : you may want to put a votive in the votive holders instead of a tealight - the tealight won't last for 4 hours, and would need to be replaced during the recep.

The votive candle should last the 4 hours with no problem!
And you can get really pretty colors too.
