Despite it being called do it YOURSELF, is it ok to ask the bm's to help? With a month left to go there's so much to do and I'm getting stomach cramps just thinking about it. I don't want to impose on anyone, even though the e-mail already went out. Did your bm's help?

I will be making two of my bridesmaids help. The other ones live far away so they get out of helping.

I've asked my BM's to help with the big things (assembling favors)... everything else I've done on my own. But i say ask them, I'm sure they will be more than willing to help. Mine offered to help me with my invites, too

I totally plan on having a DIY dinner. That night I will have all the supplies, and whoever wants to come over and help put crap together is welcome too. I will supply pizza, beer, and some sort of margaritas or other drink.
(Of course, no pizza will be eaten until we are finished, or there will be ahand washing class after dinner to make sure that nobody has anything dinner grossness left on their hands)

I had to resort to asking for BMs help. I asked them to do little, easy things. Like assembling boxes.

i would def. ask. I plan on sending around an email to let them know when i plan on putting together the programs, hopefully they or at least a few can make it since they are mostly all local.

haha thats what brideslaves are for! I'm a DIY kind of girl but I had my MOH who is also my sister help me with my invites.
My MOH is going to be making my card box so if you can get the help take it. it never hurts to ask, I'm sure they would love to help you!

I had my BMs help me with my favors and painting cake letters. I ordered them pizza and we had a blast.
I also need them to help me put together OOT boxes and programs. It's more fun that way
Mom and i will be doing the invites, hopefully my Jr BM and family will assist w/that.

Actually this weekend, some of my BMs are coming over and helpin me assemble my favors and we are going to order some food...you can make a little event out of so its fun yet productive

my mom and sis have helped a ton with my DIYs. one of my bridesmaids helped too, and my neighbor and her mom helped me last night (letting me use their color printer and paper cutter).
DIY doesnt mean you are only allowed to do it yourself literally. take all of the help you can get!
