DIY Invitation Check

I bought a PDF online, printed a few invites, reception, lodging, and rsvp cards, cut them with my paper cutter, and ordered a sample pocketfold from cardsandpockets.com :) Now that I know how it will look when it is all put together, I will start printing and cutting everything over the next 6-8 months.

For people thinking about DIYing their invites, these pocketfolds were sold already put together for 8 DOLLARS AN INVITE- With outer envelopes, RSVP envelopes, the PDF file, cardstock and pocketfolds, my invites come out to under $2 an invitation because I am printing them at my school. It is such a huge savings, and everyone throws them out anyway, so you should think about it!!

How much work was it to do yourself? Was it time consuming? I'm all about DIY projects, but don't really have the time I'd like to dedicate to them. They look awesome btw! Good job!

The PDF was simple to print- all printed on 8.5x11 cardstock and had lines an dimensions for where to cut so that was pretty straightforward- the PDF was $75, pocketfolds are 80 cents each on cardsandpockets.com, and envelopes and paper were cheap- all in all, about $2 an invite without postage- would've been like $8 without postage if I bought them instead of DIY.

Thank you for the info. Doesn't sound too hard or time consuming. I'll def look into it!
