I appologize in advance if this is a pathetic question, but here it goes anyway!
DIY invitations: people on this site have some beautiful DIY's. But how and where do you get this stuff??
Are there good websites or stores for the stationary that you can suggest?
And what about the fonts?? Or are they just already on your computers that I just have not looked at because apparantly I have no clue about this stuff
If you DO know, I would greatly appreciate your advice! Thanks!

Re: DIY Invitation Question
What kind of invitations do you want to do? I did pocketfolds... I got the card stock for them at Anchor paper, The card stock kits for the invites at Pat Catans a craft store in Ohio but Micheals has them also. The ribbon from ribbon bazaar, the rhinstone buckles from a manufacter in China. I spent $142 on 100 invites, pics are in my DIY album.

Re: DIY Invitation Question
There are so many DIY invitation kits out there at places like Michaels that look fantastic. If you like pocketfolds you can order the pockets from a webiste like cardsandpockets.com. All you have to do is buy the inserts, print them to your liking and assemble.
If you want fonts that look like fancy script or calligraphy you can find many free online. I will bump a post I had on where to find them and how to install. HTH Meg

Re: DIY Invitation Question
Thank you both very much.
I do like pocketfolds, but I'm new at this. When placing the invitation in the pocketfold, does it just lay there or is it glued in? I know the hall info etc is in the pocket part.

Re: DIY Invitation Question
you just place them in the pocket and they stay there (response cards) the invitation is attached to the pocketfold with adhesive... I used glue dots for mine.

Re: DIY Invitation Question
Can you just print with a regular printer? And did you cut the paper yourself for the invite and insert cards?
I'm really considering doing this but I'm nervous I just can't do it. I'm pretty anal, and I only have to make like 80-85 and have 10 months, but I feel like even the little things, like cutting and gluing, I'll need help on!

Yes...I printed all of my inserts and my invite myself on an inkjet printer. I got cardstock and cut them to size with a paper cutter then printed. EXCEPT for the smallest insert bc it was too small for the printer to grab. I bumped my directions for ya!
