Dear Brides, Has anyone made their own invitations themselves from the DIY Brides Kit from Michaels? I bought a set, tried it and LOVED it. The only issue was that even after a few hours of drying time, the labels still smudged. Does anyone have any suggestions to stop the address labels from smudging? Thank you for your help! are u using a laser jet printer? or ink jet? laser ones dont typically dry on the labels

For our eparty invites we used the clear address labels from avery and they smudged no matter what I did, but I really wanted clear since the envelopes were ivory. For our STD's I used white labels that said 'smudge free' and they worked out great. What if you just got your envelopes done by a printer/computer calligrapher?

you can take them to staples to get printed...I was shocked how inexpensive they were when I went to see if they can print my wedding progams.

Hm a few hours sounds odd, otherwise I would say check your printer settings. For my save the dates I'm printing directly on the envelopes, and I had smudge problems until I adjusted my settings. It took about 3 envelopes, but I'm finally happy with the quality. Good luck!
