Wow!!!! Those look fabulous! Can I ask you a question? Did you buy a color laser printer? How much was it. I have a laser printer I can use but it's only B&w and I want color on my like you have. Where did you buy your supplies?

Okay, that was like 8 questions.
TIA

Re: DIY Invites

thx!

i have a photo printer...its a cannon pixma i4200 or i4800 i believe...i bought it on ebay for like $60 with shipping...i got it specifically 2 do all my DIY stuff. Laser printers are a bit costly...u can get away with a good inkjet that has a high dpi or a good photo printer.

Re: DIY Invites

i designed the invites & inserts in word...it was a lot of trial & error, but once u get the measurements correct it is very easy. i cut everything myself, but plan 2 get everything pre-cut when i go in2 major printing mode.

Re: DIY Invites

what size is teh actual invite that is glued onto the pocketfold?? My fh has that printer and I only thought it printed out 5 x7 pics. And also how did you get a camera printer to print out on cardstock ??

very confused but interested since i have one of those and want to diy my invites!! oh and wonderful job on your invites!!!!!!!

Re: DIY Invites

the pocketfold is 6x6 so the mat is 5.75x5.75 & the invite is 5x58x5.58...but u would size your invite according to how much of the mat you want to show...if u arent doing a mat than the invite would be 5.75x5.75.

The cardstock is really not that much thicker than the photopaper so it feeds easily....i fed all of the paper through the bottom tray not the top....the smallest insert i had 2 feed through the top because the bottom tray wouldnt feed it through.

It is tedious @ 1st 2 get the measurements correct but once u do it it will be very easy...i would also suggest using pre-cut paper 2 make sure everything comes out the same size.

thx for the compliment!
