Re: DIY invites
I made 6' square petal fold invites.......all paper from paperandmore.com. Cost about $200 for 150 invitations. HTH!
Do you know where the DIY invite link went? There was a post of how to make them step by step?
TIA

Re: DIY invites
here's mine
I had an etsy seller design the invitation for me, as well as the program, place card, and RSVP card, and I had them printed through vistaprint .
bought the pocket folds from envelopme.com
and I went to michaels for the black ribbon, and staples for the labels for the monograms.

Wow they look great..is it cheaper this way? I was gettin mine through 'her' Bu the pocketfolds are so expensive so I figure I'd get the invitation, reception card, RSVP and accommodation card and get my own pocket folds but I'm scared I'm goin to mess them up..any thoughts

Honestly, I think it worked out to be the same ad if I had someone create them for me. I'm very picky, and I couldn't find any peacock invitation that I liked, so when I came across them on etsy I had to get them. Her invitations if your ordered the entire thing, was just a flat 6x9 invite, and I knew I wanted a pocketfold, so I just did it myself.
I paid $60 for the jpeg file of the invitation (along with a file for the programs, place cards, rsvp cards, and table numbers)
$82 for printing them through vistaprint (with free envelopes)
$160 for the pocketfolds
$25 for the black ribbon
$15 for the adhesive labels for the monogram
and about 12 hours all together assembling, and stuffing them

Re: DIY invites
I got a kit of everything on clearence at walmart. Just got them this week so I haven't started putting them together yet. I know that with them I will use wilton print.com and I have played on there already. It formats everything for you and you just personalize it.

Re: DIY invites
Wow well I love the way they came out..if I got with pocketfolds I'm paying 6 and change so that's why I figure maybe hav her do the stuff j need and just get my own pocketfolds..I scrapbook so I have a lot of supplies..i think I may just get my own pocket folds..can you fm me the person you dealt with on etsy? If that's ok that is..I'm not trying to be cheap I just think it's insane to spend so much money on invites that let's be honest no one is going to save expect our parents and us
Thanks

Re: DIY invites
I dont have a picture on here but I went to office max and bought the kit which was $30 for 50 invitations (I bought 3) then I had them printed there they charged me .8 cents a piece and printed all my invitations and RSVP cards for under $30. I then went and bought little diamonds and my bridsemaids and I glued them all on everyone has asked me where I got them done and can't believe we did them ourselves. It took a lot of time but it was def worth it in the end!

Re: DIY invites
Michaels - I got ALOT of compliments from people.
I thought everyone would just know they were DIY , but
the pocket folds were really nice, and people were impressed :)
I kept getting text messages saying how nice they were and from people i didn't expect
Mine are in my album (though tI've changed them a bit, I need new pics....) I would guess they were about $150 for 107 invites including all the paper, envelopes, glues/adhesives, and other random supplies.

I love your invitations in your album. where did you order the paper from and print them? such a great price and beautiful product! I'm so jealous. I hope i can pull off something like that
