Michaels - I got ALOT of compliments from people.
I thought everyone would just know they were DIY , but
the pocket folds were really nice, and people were impressed :)
I kept getting text messages saying how nice they were and from people i didn't expect
FBIL/FSIL used this kit as well for their wedding and they were beautiful!

Mine are in my album (though tI've changed them a bit, I need new pics....) I would guess they were about $150 for 107 invites including all the paper, envelopes, glues/adhesives, and other random supplies.
I love your invitations in your album. where did you order the paper from and print them? such a great price and beautiful product! I'm so jealous. I hope i can pull off something like that
Thanks so much!!!! For all the printed pieces I just got bulk white cardstock at staples and had them print there. I was able to fit the 5x7 panel and 2 small inserts on a 8.5x11 sheet, and then I just cut them down at home. I got black 12x12 cardstock at Michaels for the pockets but I was pretty dissapointed in the weight of it. If I was going to do them again I would get it from somewhere else. I'm looking into paperandmore.com and candsandpockets for ordering paper for my escort cards and menus. HTH!

Re: DIY invites
I used the Michales Damask ones also!! But I thought it looked odd with one pocket so I bought black folded cards and DIY'd another pocket on the other flap. They came out really really nice!!! I also substituted the black ribbon for a dark purple ribbon to incorporate our other color. I will try and remember to add a pic when I get home. (i haven't had anything printed on them yet though)

I used the same kit and they came out great. We nixed the ribbon because I just didn't like it (we actually used the ribbon for the ribbon wands) and used flocking powder to make the damask design raised and velvety.

I also did Michaels Kit but the brown one. I can't wait to get them started. Now I'm motivated to print some out now.

Re: DIY invites
I havent started on mine yet - but I did get them through Cards and Pockets. It works out that the pocketfold themselves were less than $2. And they have sooo many pretty colors.
FM me with any questions

What program did you use to design the invitation and 2 small inserts on? Microsoft word? And do you just save on a flashdrive and bring to Staples to print? I'm so impressed and determined to figure this out. Thanks for all your help!!
