What kind of paper cutter are you using? I've decided to make my own invites, and need a really good paper cutter. Any suggestions?
TIA

Re: DIY Invites
If you go to Michaels they have it for CHEAP and already cut. I actually got the box of invites and they are on sale (not sure until when) for $25 for 30 for the kit.

I actually found colored card stock (on sale for 16 cents!) that matches my wedding colors perfectly. I'm going to be able to make all my invites, inserts & escort cards for under $30.
Now I just need a good paper cutter...

Re: DIY Invites
Fed Ex Office lets you use their paper cutter for free. When I was in school I took all my design projects there at night and spent time cutting everything.

I have the Martha Stewart paper cutter. I DIY'ed my invites also, and the blade is still super sharp.

I did this to and then did an embossed stamp to fancy them up- so simple and elegant and crazy cheap!

I also did this. They give you a template to print on the precut paper, it just depends on which invitation style you get. It was SOOOO ridiculously easy and inexpensive!
FYI though if you get one with ribbons or other decorations, they are NOT preassembled, as me and mom learned 5 hours later...

For testing the printing - - if you run out of the xtras in the kit - - just cut down a reguler piece of paper to size. since it's for testing it doesn't have to be perfect - - kitchen scissors will do.
Using a wax seal on the flap is a nice touch too - - we did this. but be sure you have a helper. since the wax melts and drips quickly , one person should do the drip while another moves the envelopes along. do maybe 4 or 5 drips then seal these before the wax hardens, then do another set etc. BUT don't put the wax on too heavy. if the seal is too high that it won't go thru the post office test slot they will charge you extra postage to mail!!!

it sounds worse than it really was. the first 3 or 4 were a bit messy but once you get the feel of it , it went pretty fast.
