DIY invites please.......

OK so FH & I finally picked out a date for our engagement party (great now we have to worry about planning that too lol)..... We want to save some $ by DIY'ing the invites......

That being said, what do you ladies suggest? What have you all done?

We went to A.C. Moore so far and saw some pretty invites but they looked too 'weddingy'... we want something a little more cute and fun, and less formal since it's going to be at a restaurant......

Any ideas? TIA!!! You're all such a great help!!!

How about pocketfolds?

I made these for the rehearsal dinner...

Pocketfolds are relatively cheap, and if you use regular cardstock to make the invite and inserts you get away with about $2.50 each (not counting postage)

My wedding invites are pocket folds (1.60 each) invitesbyyou.com, Britta. Tell her Heather in Florida sent you. HTH

Staples actually has a decent selection of DIY invites. They had some cute floral designs, etc.

Also, we saw some really cute wedding-related (but really more for an e-party) DIY invites in Cedarhurst Paper this weekend.

I purchased my engagement party invites from Vistaprint.com. I think I recieved 10 free. They have a cute selection. It actually wound up being cheaper for us to use Vistaprint than if we would have made them ourselves.

I would use neeners idea of printing info on a sheet of paper and attaching it to a background page. GL!
