DIY invites with belly belts/bands?

DIY invites with belly belts/bands?

... so i am wondering something about the belly bands...

do they go around the invite, with the larger square UNDERNEATH, and then the smaller square (of the personalized stamp) on top?

... or, does the larger square just get glued to the belt, and the smaller square on top of that?

wanna make sure it doesn't fall apart on me :)

any advice would be appreciated! thanks.

I think for the sake of look, you should put the ribbon between the layers of the paper. That is what I am doing atleast so that when the guests take the belly band off, they can't see the ends of the ribbon zotted to the paper.

I have 3 layers - black, red, and white so I am putting the ends of the ribbon between by black and red.

Here's a pic so you can see what I mean (don't have the personalized tags on yet but the white will be there eventually)

btw, ur invites look beautiful... how did you get the vines on the paper? stenciling? i'm new to this... :)

Thanks! I was pretty new to it at one point, too and with the help of all the talented brides on here, I was able to do my own.

I actually purchased an account on http://www.weddingclipart.com after I had found the image that I liked and wanted to use. When I was browsing on the site, I started to create an account and I didn't finish, so ta day later hey sent me an email for 1/2 off so it cost me $15. Now I can use any graphic on the site on any of my stationary.

I purchased my pocketfold from Divine Ink. They were about $1.70 a piece I think. I paid more for my pocketfold because I wanted a larger pocket on the right than the ones that cards and pockets provides. The ones I got are the envelopments brand.
