DIY Menu Templates

Does anyone know where I can download or find templates for a menu? Also where do you recommend printing them out?

Re: DIY Menu Templates

depends what you want to do but honestly for a menu I dont even think you need a template. I made them without one bc really all you're doing is typing up the menu thats all. You can add a border or flourishes or any designs you want. I did a 2 layer menu and what i did was i kept the chocolate brown paper the size it was 8.5x11 and the pink paper i had cut in half exactly. Then on microsoft word i just typed up my menu but before even typing it up i went to page set up and picked the measurements for the size paper i was going to print on. I just centered the menu and picked the font and all that. Then i just used double sided permanent tape to mount one on top of the other and get the 2 layer effect.

But even for one layer its the same thing, if you think about it the menu is just typed up on paper thats all.

Is there anything in particular you want to do?

Re: DIY Menu Templates

I pretty much just want to get a template that has the sizing already set up for a menu.

are you using a single sheet, you can just enter the measurements in page set up and will automatically adjust the page to the size of the paper. takes 2 seconds to do. will just depend on what size you want to do it.

Maybe someone will have one, which im sure someone will but you can get the same exact thing doing the above. You can test it out now on MS word just to try it out and see how it works.

Re: DIY Menu Templates

The best way to do your DIY invites that I found on an article on:

http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/05/21/programs-sorta/

For the Invites:
(3)3x5 or your size/color preference of card stock
(1)8x4 thick folded card (card stock) used for outer folder
eyelet
Paper cutter
glue dots or hot glue gun
Thread/ribbon

1. Create all files on MS Word. Format the margins
according to your preference of card stock on document settings.
2. Print and cut using paper cutter.
3. Wrap thread or ribbon around a folded card using the 8x4 thick card stock for outer folder.
4. Secure thread or ribbon with glue dots or use a hot glue gun to position the main portion of the program to the top half of the folded cards.
5. When you are done securing your main portion of the program (main invite) and bottom (can be used as direction or thank you card). Use an eyelet to secure two other cards (ceremony details/wedding party) onto the program.
6. When you open the program, it should have a 3x5 or your preference of cardstock on top and bottom portion with the inserts of two cards fanning out.

For the menus:

http://www.weddingbee.com/2008/05/28/diy-menus/

Microsoft Word & inkjet printer
8x4 paper
paper Cutter
punch or stamp, your preference of design

1. Go to document settings and format the margins according to the 8x4 paper.
2. Fit two on each sheet of paper.
3. Punch or stamp your design on bottom of menu.
4. Use paper cutter to trim and cut off the excess so
the menus are perfectly aligned.

Re: DIY Menu Templates

Microsoft Works has a template that you can use. Go to Templates -> Home & Money -> Menus.
