DIY pocketfolds

DIY pocketfolds

How did everyone do their pocketfold invites?? i'm pretty crafty but i haven't figured out a good way to do them yet, and i don't wanna spend to much to have them done professionally cause i gotta stick to my budget... any ideas? TIA

Actually I have a very talented 07 bride doing mine for me b/c I haven't the slightest clue. But if you are intersted she does great work for a fraction of the price that a store would charge

wow thats great!!! now thats the true meaning of bride's helping brides..lol. That might be a good option!!! like i said i'm pretty crafty but i don't know if i can pull this one off!

heres a pic of mine so far

this is what i did:

bought pocketfolds from www.cardsandpockets.com (they are $1 each) then i cut (using a paper cutter) blue paper to fit the middle and glued it using scrapbooking glue, then cut black cardstock a tiny smaller and glued that ontop, then printed out my invite on cardstock and glued that ontop of it all (if u look closely i put a pic of a seashell in the background of the invite) and on the insert side i glued blue paper also...but i havent done the inserts yet cause im not sure of accomodations and stuff yet

if u need any help let me know! the most annoying thing is getting the sizing right..for printing the invite and cutting everything

I am hoping to follow the instructions of CaMacho (an 07 bride)...she has pretty detailed instructions...she did a BEAUTIFUL job!!! Check 'em out...

I'm sure there will always be some stress...but just come here and talk to us...someone here is bound to make you feel better and help out. I added those instructions to my notebook forever ago...One day I'll attempt to tackle the process. My FMIL keeps telling me to just have them done professionally and my BF (a graphic designer) keeps telling me we HAVE to make our own...LOL

We'll see...

Wow...these are gorgeous...wanna make mine! I can't get over that you made these. How long did it take you. I would make them if I didn't have to make 250 of them! AHH!!!!

wow .. beautiful.. and those colors really go nicely together! Great job!! Where did you all get your maps done?????? i should order them now and get started.. if i do 1 a day i'll be ahead of the game..lmaooo
