DIY Projects

Just wondering if anyone is doing DYI projects....There are what I am doing

1) Save the Dates
2) BM Newsletter
3) bathroom basket
4) silk rose to attach to donation cards
5) 'i do' in blue on the bottom of my shoes
6) calligraphy for invites (mom is helping)
7) menus
8) church programs

I know there are more, just can't think of them

i've already done the engagement party stuff.

i want to do save the dates and menu cards...i'd love to do the I DO letters for the table...but FH will probably say it's stupid.

I did the WE DO letters this past weekend. I forgot to take a pic before I put them away in the 'wedding closet'. I painted them white with the outer edges in light green. I then sprayed them with glaze so that they can be shiny. My Dad has to attach some type of elbow thing so that they'll stand on their own.

I'm sure boredom will inspire me to try my hand at other projects eventually.

i got 4 frames they were 11x14 they came to about 16$$

thats it everywhere else was more expensive.

no, ordering from www.vistaprint.com and for $100 its only $40. I didn't think I had the time or could have made them cheaper

yes

doing regular favors, and yes putting them together myself

no, I'm doing the garter for my something blue

I got business cards printed (100 for $14.99) and attached them to business card magnets from Office Max
2)Engagement Party invites.. if I can ever set a date for it!
3) bathroom basket with goodies for the girls..
4) Favors: Lotto tickets in a glassine envelope with a 06 penny
5) bridesmaid signing my shoes (bottom) for good luck:)
6) RD grooms cake (Hostess cupcakes, snoballs, twinkies.. etc. He is a huge Hostess freak!)
Can't think of anything else, but I know there is a ton more!

This is all i can think of for now.

I love all these shoe ideas...the I do on eht bottom and the bridesmaids signatures...that's so much fun!

I was thinking about the photo cube also (I read it on here a few weeks ago and thought it was a great idea). We'll probably also do the programs ourselves. My fiance knows how to do calligraphy so he might be doing the envelopes and place cards (eventhough he doesn't know I'm really seroious when I tell him that ha ha). I always want to make more stuff once I see everyone elses ideas!

I think that is it for now.

I DEF want to do projects myself....im not that creative...so im gonna steal ur ideas...LOL nah im only kidding...but u guys have a LOT OF GREAT ideas!!!

I plan on doing a bunch of things myself:

1. Place cards
2. I DO for table
3. menu's
4. church programs
5. favors- we are doing a donation in memory of my FI's sister who just passed away so I am going to make the scrolls.
6. Table Numbers- the ones from the hall are really plain and boring and I want to do something in our color scheme.
7. Bathroom basket
8. Rose Cones.

Wow- I better get to work on some of this stuff....

I forgot I did those too! Each bridesmaids' card reflected who they are in my life..

I am also doing a monogram.. and a kiddie centerpiece since FH's cousins will be all at one (or two, who am I kidding with a guest list over 300!)tables..
