DIY projects

I dont know about anyone else but i am all about doing as much DIY as i can for my wedding. I want to save money and make it personal and am always looking for creative ways to make traditional wedding aspects a little different.

I found this:

and I'm thinking of some creative things that i can use for a base.
Any ideas?

What are some of the DIY things you are excited about making?

so far on my list is my headpiece, card box, save the dates, slipper baskets, luggage tag favors, menus and programs <-- wow that seems like a long list.

up in the air still b/ i dont really want a 'theme' colors will be sage and ivory with a lil yellow and pink (inspiration board in my album) i also want to use either starfish (but im not completly sold on the whole dead sea creature at my wedding idea: SO SORRY to be so blunt, i still really like it though) but im thinking maybe sand dollars instead i like the idea of the doves inside. also thinking of going with a sweet love type of thing. so hate decisions!

Starfish are my theme! lol I live and breathe them

Sand dollars are so workable in a wedding. You could cover small blocks with paper in your theme colors and complete it with a sand dollar as a clasp... the roach in the center... you could do alot with that... let me think

We got silver starfish charms for our invites/centerpieces/favors actually from orientaltrading.com. They have them in gold tone as well...
